The Bellevue Plaza
325 Bellevue Avenue
Bellevue, IL
8 pm belltime
Tickets: $15 ringside & $10 bleachers
This show (originally scheduled for Jan 2) has been postponed for a few weeks
due to the events of the past week. We are very sorry to have such a late
announcement about this but with everything that has gone on but we just feel
that the show would suffer if it were still done on Friday.
The show in Joliet is still going to occur on Saturday.
We are going to try to keep the lineup as close to the same on the 23rd as to
what it was.
Stay tuned to the message board for further updates.

IWA Mid-South Heavyweight Title vs. Light Heavyweight Title
Dingo vs. Jason Hades
These
two men have dominated IWA Mid-South in 2008. Dingo has taken on all
challengers for his heavyweight title and defeated them all. He has
finally squashed the dreams of Drake Younger and beaten his biggest foe
for the final time. Drake can't challenge for the title again as long
as Dingo remains champion. Who is next in line to challenge Dingo? How
about the last man to defeat him in IWA? Jason Hades has been on an
equally impressive roll in IWA and even has a victory over Dingo before
Dingo won the title. Hades issued the challenge at the end of the
Candido Cup and Dingo promised to walk out with both titles in a
"cakewalk." Who will be the last man standing with all the IWA titles
when this one ends?
Grudge Match
Da Soul Touchaz (Trauma & Marshe) vs. The Soul Shooters
Da
Soul Touchaz (Marshe Rockett & Acid Jazz) won the 2008 Candido Cup
but in the process, Jazz broke his leg and dislocated his ankle. If
that wasn't bad enough, then the Soul Shooters (Dru & Q Skillz) ran
in and attacked the injured Jazz and Marshe before Trauma could run
them off. This time the Soul Touchaz know that the Soul Shooters are
coming. Which team will prove to have all the Soul in the IWA?
Battle of the Butchers
Necro Butcher vs. Bill the Butcher
Bill
the Butcher made quite the impression on IWA fans at the tryout show
and they immediately started thinking about how great a match vs. Necro
would be. Necro is always looking for a fight and is more than ready to
test the new kid on the block to see if he is all hype or the real
deal. Join us in Joliet to find out if Bill is ready to make the giant
leap and can stand toe to toe with the Necro Butcher!
Also on the card:
Strong Style Showdown
Roderick Strong vs. Michael Elgin
Roderick
won the Revolution Strong Style Tournament. Michael Elgin is a former
IWA Strong Style Champion. These two are probably hands down the
hardest choppers in IWA right now. Who will be able to come out on top
in this showdown between two of the toughest in the independents? Can
the Messiah of the Backbreaker get the bigger Elgin up for one of his
backbreakers? Can Elgin ground and pound the RSST champion? One thing
is definite...they are going to hit each other so hard that even the
fans in attendance will be able to feel it!
Battle For Positioning as Contender for IWA Title
Jimmy Jacobs vs. "New Horror" Sami Callihan
Sami
has been on an undeniable roll in IWA. He made it to the finals of TPI,
RSST and Double Death. While making it to the finals was quite an
accomplishment for Sami, he is pissed that he failed to win all three
times. He has made Ian Rotten submit and beat Mickie Knuckles in her
return from a broken leg. Now he has his sights set on Jimmy Jacobs.
Jimmy is the 2nd longest reigning IWA heavyweight champion in history.
He has come up short in his quest to get that title back against Chuck
Taylor and Dingo. The quickest way to get another shot is to beat the
man who made it to 3 tournament finals in IWA in a calendar year. Can
Sami continue on his roll and perhaps become a number one contender to
the heavyweight title or will Jimmy Jacobs use him as a stepping stone
to get back to where he wants to be?
much more to be added to this event...tickets on sale now by going to
www.paypal.com and sending your payment to rottenwife@...
Stay tuned to the message board for further details.
