Here are your full results from Put Up or Shut Up 2008 in Portage, IN
on 8/16:
1. Jimmy "Hype" Shalwin/Jeff Brooks/Gameboy/Justin Andrews & Rip
Impact def. Marco Cordova/Dave Allen/Brian Skyline/Cory Mason &
Steven Kennedy in a 10 man tag to start the show.
2. Billy Roc def. Josh Raymond & Troy Walters in a three way dance.
3. Kris Chambers def. Christian Able with help from Michael Elgin
whom got revenge on Able for jumping him in Joliet. Both men were on
the floor and Chambers was with the ref while Able was by a ringpost.
Elgin came running out and delivered a flying knee to Able sending
him into the ringpost and knocking him out. He rolled Able back into
the ring where he was pinned by Chambers.
4. Vortekz def. Chuck Taylor. Vortekz came out and cut a promo saying
that he knows what Ego doesn't want him to know and that Ego knows
that he knows and that is why Ego didn't show up...because he's
scared. He then issued a challenge to anyone in the back and Chuck
Taylor accepted. Vortekz got the win with double knees off the top
rope that totally crushed Chuck.
5. Tracy Smothers def. Darren Wade in what I could hear Joey Eastman
screaming in the background was the greatest match in wrestling
history. Trevor Murdock, Ian and a handful of refs were involved.
There is a rematch in Joliet tomorrow afternoon and Tracy said he was
going to be "serious" tomorrow and that Wade would have to watch out.
6. Ricochet/Jason Hades def. Prince Ali & Jayson Quick. The stips on
this match were as follows...if either Prince or Quick got the
pinfall on Hades, they would win the Lt. Heavyweight title. If
Ricochet got the pinfall on either Prince or Quick, he would get a
title shot in Joliet. Kimberly Kash kept interfering so Hades hit her
with the Killswitch to put her out of commission. Hades then hits a
Killswitch on Prince Ali but Ricochet throws Hades to the floor and
pins Ali to get the title shot tomorrow. Ricochet grabs the belt and
says that he is winning it tomorrow and then Jayson Quick jumps Hades
and tries to hang him with a noose.
7. Michael Elgin retains Strong Style title with the ground and pound
on Bobby Fish. After the match, Ian welcomed Bobby Fish to the IWA
family.
8. Too Cold Scorpio def. "New Horror" Sami Callihan with a modified
sharpshooter. Maniwa said that there was an unbelievable forearm
exchange in this match.
9. Trevor Murdock def. Nick Gage with a top rope bulldog
10. Dingo def. Drake Younger to retain the IWA World Heavyweight
Title under old school IWA rules. Dingo nailed Drake with a spin kick
like he did to Rollin' at KOTDM and it caused major swelling of
Drake's eye. Drake battled back and eventually hit the Drake's
Landing but Dingo had his foot on the rope as ref counted to three.
Drake thought he won the title and the ref saw the foot on the rope
and restarted the match. Dingo hit Sliced Bread #2 onto a chair and
got the pin to keep the title. Drake cut a promo after the match
talking about all the injuries he has suffered and how much winning
the IWA World Heavyweight Title would mean to him and asks Dingo for
a rematch so he can fulfill his dream. Ian and Trevor come out. Ian
tells Trevor that he'll have a mystery opponent tomorrow and that
Drake will get his rematch vs. Dingo for the title.

Here are the results for We Are Family 2 in Joliet, IL on 8/17
1. Egotistico Fantastico won a 20 man over the top rope battle royal
last eliminating Jaysin Strife to earn a heavyweight title shot in
the future at any point in time he wishes to take it. The final five
in the battle royal were Ego, Strife and the 3 Soul Touchaz. Soul
Touchaz all turned on each other and ended up eliminating each other
trying to get the title shot to ensure a future chance to be on an
IWA show. Strife basically eliminated himself by going for a cross
body block on Ego and Ego ducking causing Strife to sail to the
floor. There were a lot of guys that didn't do anything else on the
show in this battle royal and quite a few of the IWA regulars as well.
Trik Davis came to the ring in a total shocker to everyone in
attendance. He demanded to be put in TPI and to face Chris Hero in
the first round. Ian came to the ring and told Trik that Sami
Callihan already has Chris Hero in the first round and that is the
the Ted Petty INVITATIONAL which means you have to be invited...not
show up and demand it. Trik says that he is the one that told Ian
about Sami Callihan and that it would be his pleasure to take Sami's
spot.
2. Sami Callihan defeated Trik Davis to defend his TPI spot. They
brawled all over the building and Sami went for a lariat while Trik
was leaning on the side wall that Mickie jumped off of and Trik moved
so Sami hit the wall. Trik then kicked Sami's arm into the wall. Sami
fought off the strong arm offense of Trik to eventually win with a
lariat.
3. Jason Hades def. Ricochet to retain the IWA Mid-South World Light
Heavyweight Title. Hades hit the Killswitch to get the victory.
Kimberly Kash then comes out wearing a back brace after taking the
Killswitch last night and starts screaming at Hades. Hades goes to
give her another Killswitch when Kash Inc hits the ring and starts
beating him down. They then duct tape his arms behind his back and
duct tape his feet. Jayson Quick then runs through the front door and
they duct tape a garbage bag over Hades head until several guys run
off Kash Inc and tear the bag off Hades head. After Hades catches his
breath, his begs Ian to do whatever it takes to get Quick at the
TPI...so Ian pulls both men out of the TPI.
Steel Cage I Quit Match - Loser Has to Drop Ja(y)son From Their Name -
Lt. Hvywght Title Match
4. Nick Gage defeats Michael Elgin to win the IWA Mid-South Strong
Style Title. Huge back and forth brawl until they went to the floor.
Christian Able ran out and knocked Elgin in to the ringpost shoulder
first. Gage gets Elgin back into the ring and applies an armbreaker
in the ring. Elgin gets his foot onto the rope and PJ Drummond calls
for the bell and says that Elgin tapped out. Everyone sits stunned
and unsure of what just happened. Gage then attacks Elgin and beats
him down with a chair on the floor. Able comes out and taunts the
fallen Elgin. Is Gage in cahoots with Able? Is PJ Drummond in cahoots
with Able or perhaps with Gage? We don't know yet but hopefully we
will find out.
5. Christian Able/Brian Skyline/Jeff Brooks def. The Soul Touchaz
(Marshe Rocket, Trauma, Acid Jazz w/ C Red). After the match, Ian
welcomed The Soul Touchaz to the IWA family and invited them to pick
2 to be in the Candido Cup in December. Ian then broke out the "Fat
White Guy Dance" and danced with The Soul Touchaz.
6. Egotistico Fantastico def. Prince Mustafa Ali. Joey Eastman cut a
promo before the match claiming that the only reason Ali isn't in TPI
is because of religious prejudices. After this fantastic (pun
intended) match, Ian agreed that since 2 extra spots just opened up
that Ali belonged in the TPI and invited him but said he would face
Ego in a rematch in round 1. He then went ahead and extended an
invitation to Trik Davis for TPI.
7. Bobby Fish def. Josh Raymond, Jimmy Jacobs and Chuck Taylor in a
Pick Your Poison match and chose Too Cold Scorpio as his first round
opponent.
8. Tracy Smothers/Ian Bloody def. Darren Wade/Trevor Murdock. Started
as Wade vs. Tracy but Trevor was ringside with his student so Tracy
went to find a partner to even the odds. Brawl all over the building.
Wild action. Ian gives Trevor a lariat and Tracy throws Ian off and
pins Trevor himself. Trevor demands an one on one match with Tracy.
Tracy finally agrees but then asks Ian to give him a chance in TPI.
Ian gives Tracy the invitation and tells him that he wants the old
Tracy Smothers...the Thug Tracy Smothers not the 40 minute promo
Tracy Smothers. Tracy agrees to be as good as he once was for TPI and
be the Smasher/Sellout/Smoky Mountain Thug Smothers.
9. Too Cold Scorpio defeats Necro Butcher in one helluva hard hitting
contest with a moonsault into a legdrop off the top that drilled
Necro in the mouth/jaw. Bobby Fish watched from sort of ringside to
scout Scorpio.
10. Dingo defeats Drake Younger to retain the IWA Mid-South World
Heavyweight Title. Drake attacked as soon as Dingo came out the door
and they brutalized each other old school IWA style. Brawl all over
the building. Dingo wins with a Michinoku Driver through an open
chair. Jaysin Strife attacked Dingo after the match.
