Here are the results from April Blood Showers last night in
Plainfield, IN:
1). xOMGx def. Chrisjen Hayme & Scottie Murray & Billy Roc & Jeff
Brooks & Kid Hybrid for a shot later tonight at Josh Abercrombie for
the IWA Light Heavyweight Title.
No play by play tonight folks as I have many things on my mind but I
will keep you up to date on what is happening to the best of my ability.
OMG gets the victory and will face Josh later tonight.
2.) Davey Richards def. Joker w/ Sabian .
Fans are loving this one as they are beating the crap out of each
other with superplexes, head drops, forearms, chops, kicks, dives to
the floor. Richards with a suplex fest and Joker retaliates. Richards
wins with a butterfly brainbuster. Standing ovation from the crowd.
Davey gets on the mic and says that those on the boards that wondered
why he would be wrestling Joker tonight just got their answer...that
Joker can hang with anyone and was a worthy opponent.
Friday May 11th is the return to Plainfield with AJ Styles plus one of
the Basham brothers (didn't catch which one). Ian Rotten announces
that this year's KOTDM will be the sickest, bloodiest and most violent
one yet in order to top East Coast and Deep South trying to outdo us
with their Death Match Tournament.
The Havana Pitbulls are the final team in the Candido Cup - Ricky
Reyes and Rocky Romero.
3). Southern Rock (Kidd & Jed) def. Naptown Dragons & Michael Elgin & Ash
Diehard Dustin & Vortekz vs. Hillbilly Jed & Indiana Kidd Jr are about
underway. Michael Elgin & Ash just came out and interrupted this
match...looks like a 3 way is about to start. Hillbilly Jed does
something to Vortekz to get a "holy shit" chant from the crowd..didn't
see what. Kidd brainbusters Diehard on the floor and gets a holy shit
chant. The Indiana teams work together to try to beat down the
Canadians so they can fight with each other. Elgin gives a powerslam
to Diehard and Vortekz at the same time. Southern Rock then hits from
behind to take advantage and get the win.
4). Devon Moore def. Ricochet
Devon Moore vs Ricochet as both men fail to connect standing shooting
stars early in the match. Things heat up as they both spill onto the
floor. Back in the ring, Richochet finally connects with a standing
shooting star. Both on the top rope....
Air Raid Crash from the top rope as Devon Moore gets the win.
5). The Barbarian def. "The Berzerker" Jimmy Jacobs
Jimmy Jacobs in the ring...The furry boots are back...
The Barbarian makes his way to the ring escorted by Jim Fannin.
Both men are at it hard as the Barbarian wants to collect the $5000
bounty placed on Jimmy Jacobs head by Jim Fannin. And Jacobs is just
fighting for his life. Both men on the floor. Jimmy thrown back into
the ring now bleeding from his head. Greatly encouraged by Fannin.
Both men "Hussing" back and forth at each other. Barbarian with the pin.
Tracy Smothers hits the ring to put the boots to Jacobs.
Fannin and Smothers work over Jimmy. Fannin hits Jacobs in the head
with a barbed wire bat and then they take off Jimmy's knee brace and
hit the knee with the barbed wire bat. Fannin then drills Jacobs in
the back with the bw bat a la the cage match with Bull Pain vs. Jimmy
Jacobs from Edge of Insanity. Jacobs is stretchered from the ring.
6). Brandon Thomaselli def. Sabian .
Brandon challenges Josh after the match to a tables, ladders & chairs
for the title in Shelbyville, Indiana next Saturday night.
7). Josh Abercrombie def. xOMGx to retain the light heavyweight title
Josh gets a dominating win with the super Taliban Backpack and Brandon
runs in after the match to attack Josh. Josh reverses and hits a
Taliban Backpack on Brandon. He then stands over Brandon and accepts
the challenge for the TLC match reminding Brandon that he has never
lost a TLC match.
8). Insane Lane def. Deranged with a suplex onto a chair with a bw
contraption on it.
Welcome back to IWA Deranged as he will take on Insane Lane in the
Home Run Derby matchup. Deranged grabs the microphone while brawling
on the floor and holds it close so everyone can hear the headbutts
over the PA system. Deranged wanted to shake hands out of a show of
respect but Lane flipped him off and ran to the back with Deranged
chasing after him.
9). Chuck Taylor defeats Z Barr to retain the IWA title.
Chuck Taylor is in the ring issuing his open challenge after "whipping
that monkey ass Low Ki" last week in Midlothian. Chuck calls himself
the most hated man in IWA and says it is because no one can beat him.
Z-Barr comes out and says that he has been in the business for 9 years
and if you read the message boards, he doesn't have a single fan. The
crowd starts cheering for Chuck. Chuck says that he "didn't come to
fricking Kansas or whatever shitty state this is to be cheered by
hostile rednecks" and attacks Z Barr. Crowd chants "match of the year"
at Chuck Taylor as he keeps slapping on headlocks and saying "boredom
all night." Chuck getting pissed at the fans but now basking in their
cheers. Z Barr gets in some offense to a loud chorus of boos. Ian
Rotten on commentary claims that Z Barr on a show boosts concession
sales making it worthwhile. Z Barr goes for a pin for Ian runs to the
ring yelling "kick out" to Chuck. The crowd boos Z Barr's every move.
Chuck pins Z Barr and Ian hits a knee on Good Friday and prays from
the commentary table. The crowd cheers wildly and chants "That Was
Awesome" to Chuck.
10). Chuck Taylor def. Tracy Smothers to retain the IWA heavyweight title
Tracy Smothers has now come to ringside. The crowd chants "Shut the I
have a potty mouth Up" and Tracy tells him there is no cussing in the
IWA. He proclaims himself the most hated man in IWA from the beginning
and that he wants a piece of Chuck. A fan yells "Chuck is God" and
Chuck responds with "I actually exist pal." Tracy threatens to do a
moonsault. The crowd very similar to the ZBarr match where they boo
everything that Tracy does and cheer wildly for Chuck. Chuck throws
powder into Tracy's eyes and hits him with a chain and pulls the
tights for the victory. Tracy then tells Chuck that he loves that kind
of chicanery and that he may even be his dad since he wrestled in the
territory where Chuck was born. Tracy says he may not have gotten the
pin but he is still the most hated man and he hates these people even
more than they hate him and he is never coming back...until May 11th.
11). Tank def. Freak Show in a Taipei Glass/Pits of Glass match
Did not see it but it got an IWA chant and "Thank You Freak Show"
chant at the end.
Time for the main event. The Barbed Wire cage is up. It is the steel
cage with barbed wire wrapped through the links. Looks like a prison
cage or something.
12). Ian Rotten & Drake Younger battle to no contest in the barbed
wire cage
Ian starts the match by working over Drake's ribs and he has just
pulled a pair of scissors out and is slicing the forehead of Drake.
Drake is putting Ian is into the barbed wire wrapped in the cage.
Drake goes to centon Ian into the barbed wire cage but Ian moves and
Drake propels himself into the cage. Headbutts galore from their knees
and both men are down. Ian northern lights suplexes Drake into the
cage. Ian has reinjured his shoulder after some punches and a European
uppercut onto Drake. Ian left fighting left handed and gives several
left elbows to the breast bone on Drake and then tries a chairshot but
his arm is too hurt to capitalize. Drake then drops him throat first
onto the top of the open chair. Drake puts Ian's ankle through the
chair and delivers a shot to the ankle with another chair. Drake then
goes up top and does a double stomp onto Ian's ankle tangled in the
chair. So now Ian is down to one leg and one arm. Ian struggling to
fight back and finally gets back to his feet throwing a chair and then
goes nuts on Drake's arm with chair shots to the elbow and a
submission hold onto the elbow. Drake is trapped in the middle of the
ring. Drake breaks the hold by elbowing Ian in the groin. But now
Drake's elbow is hurting after punches so he is down to one arm. Ian
back to the ribs with vicious punches. Chairshot to the elbow. Ian
back to driving the chair into Drake's elbow. Puts Drake's arm outside
the cage door and then drives the chair into the arm and forcing it
down onto the rail of the cage. Ian stands on Drake's hand and then
drives the chair into the elbow and a vicious chairshot to the head.
Ian goes for a Vader Bomb but Drake moves and goes for the cop killa
but Ian reverses into an attempt at the Rotten Rush DDT but Freak Show
and Insane Lane hit the ring and attack both Ian and Drake. Ian and
Drake are at the mercy of Freak Show & Lane after beating the hell out
of each other. Mickie is ringside but doesn't get into the cage and
she's yelling at Freak Show and Insane Lane. Mickie runs to the back
and gets the dressing room but Lane & Freak Show stand strong killing
everyone as they try to enter the cage. Diehard Dustin has been mauled
twice trying to get into the cage. Ricochet and Billy try to climb the
cage but with the barbed wire all around they can't do it as Lane and
Freak Show hit them off the cage with chairs. Mickie's finally had
enough and enters the ring and tackles Lane and now they are starting
to regain some control in the cage as everyone is getting in. Drake
has been rushed out of the cage as has Ian. Five or six guys have Lane
and Freak Show tackled and pinned down. Mickie wants to blast Lane and
Show with a chair but Diehard and company pull her out of the cage.
Ian issues a challenge for Ian & Drake vs. Freak Show & Insane Lane in
the Barbed Wire Cage Fans Bring the Weapons and this time Ian doesn't
care about SMV not being able to tape as well but the door will be on
the cage and locked to keep everyone else out.

Here is our upcoming schedule including 2 shows with AJ Styles and the
field for the Candido Cup has been finalized:
IWA Mid-South will be running a fundraiser show for the senior class
of the Southwestern Consolidated School District in Shelbyville, Indiana.
Saturday night April 14th
Southwestern High School: 317-729-5122
3406 W 600 S,
Shelbyville, IN 46176, US
Coming from Louisville, you would take exit 80 off of I-65 and turn
right and then follow the signs for Southwestern High School. This is
about 20 minutes closer to Louisivlle than the Plainfield shows!
Tickets for this show will be $20 and $15 and if you want ringside
seats for this show, let us know asap because the school has the
tickets and we will need to pull them for you.
Demolition Ax vs. Bull Pain
Former multiple time WWF tag team champion Demolition Ax debuts for
IWA Mid-South and takes on one of the biggest and baddest in IWA
history in Big Bad Bull Pain. This should be a helluva hard hitting
contest between these two!
Honky Tonk Man vs. "Marvelous" Mitch Ryder
The longest reigning Intercontinental Champion in WWF history will be
making his IWA Mid-South debut to take on the Marvelous one. Can the
Honky Tonk Man shake rattle and roll his way to victory over Mitch?
Former WWF Intercontinental Champ & Tag Champ Greg "The Hammer"
Valentine vs. Ian Rotten
Valentine earned the name "The Hammer" by hitting people so hard they
felt like someone was drilling them with a hammer. He was able to use
that brute force to win the US Heavyweight title, Intercontinental
Title and WWF tag team titles in his illustrious career. Can the
undisputed "King of Hardcore" take the hits dished out by the "Hammer"
or will Greg Valentine learn what it is like to become hardcore?
Josh Abercrombie vs. Brandon Thomaselli in a Tables, Ladders & Chairs
match for the IWA Light Heavyweight Title
These former partners had a severe falling out in Midlothian after
Josh pulled out a victory to retain the title and Brandon attacked him
after fooling him into thinking that he was congratulating him. Josh
pulled out another victory in the rematch after being dominated for
most of the match. Brandon then whipped him with the ref's leather
belt leading to the Indian Strap Match on April 28th but they are
going to do battle once more before then with this Tables, Ladders &
Chairs match in Shelbyville. Can Josh pull out another victory and
stay unbeaten in TLC matches or will Brandon be the man to end the
almost 15 month title reign of Josh Abercrombie?
