IWA Mid-South Wrestling returns to action this Friday night, 7/15, with an
event at the Park District Rec Center (14500 S. Kostner Avenue) in Midlothian,
IL. Bell time is 7:30pm. Tickets are $25, $20, and $15 general admission, and
will be available at the door.

RESULTS 7/9 HAMMOND, IN @ ARMORY
-------------------------------------------------------------

IWA Mid-South Wrestling returned to the National Guard Armory in Hammond, IN
this past Saturday, 7/9. Here's what went down...

1. TRIK DAVIS def. JAYSIN STRIFE via an arm submission.

2. MICKIE KNUCKLES def. SHELIRIOUS with an inside cradle after grabbing hold
of her mask.

3. BRANDON THOMASELLI def. "Metalhead" STEVE STONE with a modified Air Raid
Crash. After the match, Thomaselli was jumped by LOTUS & CRAZY J who challenged
Thomaselli to find a tag team partner.

4. MATT SYDAL & BRANDON THOMASELLI def. LOTUS & CRAZY J in an impromptu tag
team bout.

5. CHAD COLLYER def. DELIRIOUS via submission with the Collyer Cloverleaf.

6. "The Human Rulebook" CHANDLER McCLURE def. "Wild Eyed Southern Boy" TRACY
SMOTHERS after ERIC PRIEST interfered in the match.

7. RYAN BOZ def. "The Underwear Model" ERIC PRIEST shortly after TRACY
SMOTHERS grabbed a chair out of Priest's hands as he was about to hit Boz.
Post-match, Priest challenged Smothers & Boz to a tag team match at the return
Hammond
event, on 8/6.

8. TYLER BLACK def. LOTUS. The match went all over the building, including a
Lotus hitting a hilo dive off a soda machine. Late in the match, Black
accidentally hit referee ANDY LONG with a moonsault. With the referee down,
CRAZY J
interfered on Lotus' behalf, which then caused BRANDON THOMASELLI to get
involved as well, leading to Black scoring the pinfall as the referee was
revived.
Post-match, Crazy J laid out both Black and Thomaselli with chairshots.

9. "Bad Breed" IAN ROTTEN & AXL ROTTEN def. "The Iron Saints" VITO THOMASELLI
& SAL THOMASELLI to win the IWA World Tag Team Titles. The Thomasellis
focused on the injured wrist Ian sustained at the hands of MARK WOLF on 7/1 in
Salem. Ultimately Ian was able to tag in a fresh Axl, who cleaned house on both
Thomasellis. The Rottens hit a double team inverted brainbuster on Sal, and
followed it up by sandwiching Sal's head with simultaneous chairshots to lead to
the pinfall.

10. JOSH ABERCROMBIE def. MATT SYDAL by a score of 3 to 2 in a thirty minute
iron-man match to retain the IWA Light Heavyweight Title. The thirty minute
period ended at two falls a piece. Referee ANDY LONG immediately called for a
five minute sudden death overtime period where the winner of the next fall would
win the match.

The event (as well as the previous night's show in Muscatine, IA) was filmed
with a single ringside camera (similar to the 4/1 Herrin, IL event, and the
Punk vs. Hero 59:04 match from last November in Valparaiso, IN), and will have
commentary added to the footage in post-production.

The DVD release of the 6/11 Philadelphia, PA IWA-MS event "Something to
Prove" is now available. The double disc set features the entire event, plus
locker
room interviews, as well as two big bonus matches.

The show featured the epic Samoa Joe vs. Necro Butcher battle, as well as
three IWA-MS title changes! The bonus matches on the release include Chris Hero
vs. Ian Rotten from 5/04/02 in Dayton, OH, as well as Necro Butcher vs. Mr.
Insanity from 8/01/03 at the KOTDM in Clarksville, IN.

KOTDM 97 REMASTERED DVD NOW AVAILABLE!

The 2 disc remastered edition of the 1997 King of the Death Matches
tournament is now available from Smart Mark Video. It features the entire
tournament,
digitally re-edited from the original camera tapes, plus a bonus match from
December of 1996 between Ian Rotten and Mad Man Pondo. The release features an
optional 2005 commentary track with Dave Prazak, Trik Davis, Chris Hero, Allison
Danger, Bryce Remsburg, and Mickie Knuckles.

For those who may be unaware, IWA Mid-South has been in partnership with the
