Headlines:
- Jacobs retains title against Rotten in Salem!

IWA Mid-South, in association with NWA Midwest, returned to the National Guard
Armory in Salem, IN on Friday night, 5/20 for "Showdown In Salem 2005." Here's
what went down...

IWA World Heavyweight Champion JIMMY JACOBS interrupted opening announcements by
DAVE PRAZAK by informing the fans that he was offended that IWA-MS management
announced that "if he is still champion on 6/11" he will have to defend the
title in a gauntlet series against three other men. Jacobs ran down the list of
successful IWA World Title defenses, and included that he "beat Eddie Guerrero
on Smackdown last week" as part of his list. IAN ROTTEN then came to the ring
and reminded Jacobs that he beat him in Salem back at the 2003 TPI and will do
it again later in the night.

1. TONY SCARPONE def. THURSTON BROOKS with a sitout torture rack in both
wrestlers' IWA-MS debuts.

2. DELIRIOUS def. BJ WHITMER & SAL THOMASELLI in a three-way contest when
Delirious pinned Sal after hitting Invitro Fertilization.

3. MICKIE KNUCKLES def. DAIZEE HAZE with the Knuckle Lock Suplex to earn #1
Contendership to the NWA Midwest/IWA Mid-South Women's Title. Mickie will now
face MsChif for the belt on 6/11 in Philadelphia.

4. JAMES GIBSON def. DANNY DANIELS with a Front Guillotine Choke.

5. BRANDON THOMASELLI successfully defended the NWA Indiana State Title against
JOSH ABERCROMBIE after hitting the Air Raid Crash off the 2nd rope.

6. TRIK DAVIS def. "The Human Rulebook" CHANDLER McCLURE with an Oklahoma Roll
in a qualifying match for the CHIKARA Young Lions Cup Tournament.

7. MATT SYDAL def. VITO THOMASELLI to retain the NWA Midwest X Division Title
after hitting the Here It Is Driver (half nelson pumphandle slam).

8. JIMMY JACOBS def. IAN ROTTEN to retain the IWA World Heavyweight Title.
Referee TOMMY THOMPSON was knocked down after Jacobs pulled him in the path of a
running Liger Dropkick in the corner by Rotten. Second referee OLLIE THARP made
his way into the ring. As Jacobs emptied a bag of baby powder into his hand to
throw it in Ian's eyes, Ian kicked Jacobs' hand, and the powder went flying into
the eyes of Tharp. Jacobs then threw a second handful of powder in Ian's eyes,
nailed him with a chain, and followed up with a back senton off the top rope,
just as Thompson crawled toward them to count the pinfall. Post-match, DANNY
DANIELS hit the ring and told Jacobs that he'd be coming after his title on 6/11
in the gauntlet series.

NOTES: The event was filmed by Smart Mark Video with two cameras for home video
release, with commentary by Dave Prazak, Trik Davis, and Jim Fannin... Ricky
Reyes, who was scheduled to be a part of this weekend's events, was unable to
appear due to a plane ticket mishap... IWA-MS returns to the Salem Armory on
6/24.

IWA-MS returns to the Armory (1514 Emison Street) in Vincennes, IN tonight,
Saturday, 5/21. Bell time is 7:30pm. Tickets are $20, $15, and $10 general
admission, and will be available at the door.

Plus there will be an over the top rope battle royal, with the order of
elimination determining the remainder of the matches on the show. For driving

We've rescheduled the "No Blood, No Guts, No Glory 2005" event, featuring the
double ring, double cage War Games match, for Saturday night, 7/2. The show will
take place at the National Guard Armory in Valparaiso, IN.

There are also two additional changes to the upcoming lineup of events. The show
scheduled for next Friday, 5/27, in Valparaiso, IN has been cancelled, as most
of the talent booked for the weekend had been set to appear as a double shot.
With no venue for 5/28, IWA-MS management made the decision to cancel plans for
the entire weekend. Also, the event set for 6/4 in Rensselaer, IN has been moved
to the Armory in Plymouth, IN as Rensselaer was double booked for the date. We
will provide more information on the event during the coming days.

For those who may be unaware, IWA Mid-South has been in partnership with the

on a pay-per-minute basis, as well as a set price to download a full match. We
currently have 27 IWA-MS matches available for viewing on the site, and provide
