CHAT TONIGHT - TUESDAY 5/10 - BEGINS 8PM CENTRAL

As IWA-MS has this coming weekend off, there won't be much announced
news-wise at the chat this week... but there's plenty to discuss. Like, how the
hell
did there wind up being two Delirious masks under the ring on Friday in
Midlothian?


RESULTS 5/6 MIDLOTHIAN, IL @ PARK DISTRICT
-------------------------------------------

IWA Mid-South Wrestling, in association with NWA Midwest, returned to the
Park District Rec Center in Midlothian, IL on Friday night, 5/6. Here's what
went
down...

DAVE PRAZAK and CM PUNK opened the show. Prazak explained to the fans that
the IWA World Heavyweight Title, Light Heavyweight Title, and World Tag Team
Titles would be defended on the card. Ten wrestlers would participate in a
battle
royal to determine who would get the World Title shot at JIMMY JACOBS later
in the night, with the order of elimination from the royal determining the
undercard matches. PUNK would also challenge DELIRIOUS for the Light Heavyweight
Title, and a three team tag match would determine which of three teams would
get the shot at TRIK DAVIS & RYAN BOZ. Punk shared his memories of CHRIS CANDIDO
with the fans of Midlothian, pointing out that he was originally scheduled to
wrestle Chris on the show for Candido's NWA Midwest Heavyweight Title. Punk
dedicated his match against Delirious to Candido, and the bell was rung ten
times in his honor.

1. JOSH ABERCROMBIE won the ten man battle royal to earn a shot at JIMMY
JACOBS. Abercrombie and DANNY DANIELS were the final two participants in the
battle royal. Jacobs left the commentary table and approached the ring, getting
involved to cost Daniels (who has never gotten a rematch since losing the belt
to
Jacobs) the title shot. Jacobs, dressed in a suit, then attacked Abercrombie
and said the title match would begin immediately.

2. JIMMY JACOBS def. JOSH ABERCROMBIE to retain the IWA World Heavyweight
Title following a low blow while the referee was out of position.

3. TYLER BLACK def. MATT SYDAL after Matt attempted a shooting star press,
Black moved, and as Sydal landed on his feet, Black rolled him up for the three
count. Black focused on the bad knee of Sydal for the duration of the match.
After the victory, Black asked that the next time they meet, Matt put his NWA
Midwest X Division Title on the line.

4. MARCO "Stylz" CORDOVA def. "The Human Rulebook" CHANDLER McCLURE to retain
the NWA Illinois State Title. During the closing moments of the bout, JIM
FANNIN and "Metalhead" STEVE STONE hit the ring on McClure. Fannin took the
microphone and announced that since IAN ROTTEN is still on a European tour, he's
in
charge, and ordered that the referee put the Cordova/McClure match on
"pause," and turn the match into McClure vs. Stone. Chandler scored the
Touchdown on
Stone and pinned him. Cordova's match then became "un-paused," and Cordova
scored the fall on McClure. Such tomfoolery on the part of Fannin and Stone will
no doubt be met with much protest when Ian returns to the country.

5. "The Iron Saints" VITO & SAL THOMASELLI def. "Underwear Model" ERIC PRIEST
& SILAS YOUNG and BRANDON THOMASELLI & MAREK BRAVE in a three team Texas
Tornado style falls count anywhere tag team match to earn a Tag Team Title shot.

6. TRIK DAVIS & RYAN BOZ def. "The Iron Saints" VITO & SAL THOMASELLI in a
Texas Tornado style tag team match to retain the IWA World Tag Team Titles.

7. DANNY DANIELS def. "Fast" EDDIE VEGAS following a butterfly piledriver.

8. CHAD COLLYER def. TRACY SMOTHERS & "Outlaw" BILLY GUNN in a three-way bout.

9. DELIRIOUS def. CM PUNK in just over thirty minutes to retain the IWA Light
Heavyweight Title. The two battled to a thirty minute time limit draw, just
as Punk had Delirious locked in the Anaconda Vise. After the match, both Punk
and Delirious asked for five more minutes, and Punk asked the crowd "Would
Candido want five more?" The bell rang once again to begin the overtime period.
Delirious quickly went for a sunset flip on Punk, pulling the back of Punk's
tights down on the way over, and scored the pinfall.

NOTES: The event was filmed with two cameras by Smart Mark Video for home
video release, with commentary by Dave Prazak, CM Punk, and Trik Davis... It was
announced to the crowd that IWA-MS management has yet to confirm a new venue
for the scheduled 5/28 date for "No Blood, No Guts, No Glory 2005." If a venue
cannot be locked in within the early part of this coming week, an announcement
will be made on the web site concerning a new date for the event (likely 6/18
at the Hammond Armory if that is the case).

IWA-MS returns to action on 5/20 in Salem, IN at the Armory, and 5/21 in
Vincennes, IN at the Armory. We're back at the Armory in Valparaiso, IN on 5/27.


MsCHIF WINS WOMEN'S TITLE FROM DAIZEE HAZE
-------------------------------------------

This past Saturday night, 5/7, MsCHIF became the fifth holder of the NWA
Midwest/IWA Mid-South Women's Title by defeating Daizee Haze at the NWA Midwest
event in Streamwood, IL. Here's a look at the title lineage thus far...

05.30.04 Hammond, IN - LACEY def. MERCEDES MARTINEZ & DAIZEE HAZE in
three-way tournament final to become the first NWA Midwest/IWA Mid-South Women's
Champion

09.17.04 Highland, IN - MERCEDES MARTINEZ def. LACEY

01.15.05 Framingham, MA - ARIEL def. MERCEDES MARTINEZ & HAYLEY SKYE in
three-way match

02.12.05 Highland, IN - DAIZEE HAZE def. ARIEL & MICKIE KNUCKLES & SARA DEL
REY & MsCHIF & CHEERLEADER MELISSA in six-way match
