IWA Mid-South News for 05.05.05

Headlines:
* DELIRIOUS/PUNK REMATCH THIS FRIDAY NIGHT
* BATTLE ROYAL ELIMINATION DETERMINES THE CARD
* JACOBS TO DEFEND TITLE AGAINST ROYAL WINNER

IWA Mid-South Wrestling, in association with NWA Midwest, returns to the Park
District Rec Center in Mildothian, IL tomorrow night, May 6th. Bell time is
7:30pm. Tickets will be available at the door.

The show on Friday night will begin with an over the top rope Battle Royal,
with the winner earning a title shot later in the night at Jimmy Jacobs.
Additionally, the order of elimination in the battle royal will determine the
match
parirings for the rest of the show. Participants include Matt Sydal, Danny
Daniels, Josh Abercrombie, Billy Gunn, Brandon Thomaselli, Trik Davis, Eric
Priest, Silas Young, Chad Collyer, Ryan Boz, Fast Eddie, Vito Thomaselli, Sal
Thomaselli, Chandler McClure, Tyler Black, Marek Brave, and more.

Also, Friday's card will feature a rematch from "Simply The Best 6" between
IWA Light Heavyweight Champion Delirious and CM Punk. Their STB6 bout was a
non-title affair, as Punk weighed in at 223 lbs-- three over the weight limit
for
title contention. Punk has informed IWA-MS officials that he is down to 218,
and their Midlothian confrontation will be for the belt.

Merge onto I-80 W toward CHICAGO (Portions toll).
Take I-294 N toward WISCONSIN (Portions toll).
Merge onto US-6 W/W 159TH ST.
Turn RIGHT onto PULASKI RD/CRAWFORD AVE.
Turn LEFT onto 147TH ST/IL-83.
Turn RIGHT onto KOSTNER AVE.

Coming from the west (SW Chicago suburbs)...

Merge onto I-294 S toward INDIANA (Portions toll).
Take the IL-50 exit toward CICERO AVE.
Merge onto S CICERO AVE/IL-50.
Turn LEFT onto 143RD ST.
Turn RIGHT onto KOSTNER AVE.


This Saturday night, 5/7, NWA Midwest returns to Streamwood, IL. Visit

IWA-MS will then return to action with a double shot weekend of events on
5/20 at the National Guard Armory in Salem, IN, and 5/21 at the National Guard
Armory in Vincennes, IN. James Gibson returns to IWA-MS competition that
weekend!

We return to the National Guard Armory in Valparaiso, IN on 5/27.

No new information concerning the scheduled 5/28 "No Blood, No Guts, No Glory
2005" event is available just yet. If we are unable to find a suitable
location to keep the show on 5/28, we will likely hold the show on the
originally
scheduled Highland date in June, 6/18. As soon as a final decision is made
concerning the event, an announcement will be made.

Smart Mark Video has the VHS releases of this past weekend's events in
Valparaiso and Herrin available at www.smartmarkvideo.com for those interested.

CHRIS CANDIDO IWA-MS TRIBUTE VIDEO NOW ON WEB

The music video tribute to Chris Candido that I put together is now on the
web as a WMV file for everyone to check out. It's just under 10 MB, so the
quality of the file isn't the greatest, but I wanted to put it up for even those
with dialup connections to view.

This is the video we played for the crowd in Valparaiso after the 10 bell for
Chris. A DVD quality version of it was given to Smart Mark Video to include
on upcoming releases.

IWA-MS MATCHES AVAILABLE AT CLICKWRESTLE.COM

For those who may be unaware, IWA Mid-South has been in partnership with the
ClickWrestle.com service for the past several months to provide wrestling fans
with full matches for download online. Select matches are available for
download on a pay-per-minute basis, as well as a set price to download a full
match. We currently have 27 IWA-MS matches available for viewing on the site,
and
provide ClickWrestle.com with new footage (both recent and from the past) on a
regular basis.

The majority of ClickWrestle.com's customer base are fans of women's matches,
and as a result, the majority of our content on the site features the IWA-MS
women's division. We also provide them with occasional men's matches. We plan
to expand our working relationship with ClickWrestle.com during the coming
months.
