CHRIS CANDIDO IWA-MS TRIBUTE VIDEO NOW ON WEB
--------------------------------------------
The music video tribute to Chris Candido that I put together is now on the
web as a WMV file for everyone to check out. It's just under 10 MB, so the
quality of the file isn't the greatest, but I wanted to put it up for even those
with dialup connections to view.
This is the video we played for the crowd in Valparaiso after the 10 bell for
Chris. A DVD quality version of it was given to Smart Mark Video to include
on upcoming releases. http://rapidshare.de/files/1548888/candidotribute.wmv.html

RESULTS 4/30 HERRIN, IL @ CIVIC CENTER
--------------------------------------------
IWA Mid-South Wrestling, in association with NWA Midwest, returned to the
Civic Center in Herrin, IL on Saturday night, April 30th. Here's what went
down...
1. TYLER BLACK def. "The Product" MAREK BRAVE with a Small Package Driver in
the opening contest.
2. VITO THOMASELLI def. "The Human Rulebook" CHANDLER McCLURE when referee
RYAN ASH counted to three though McClure had his foot on the bottom rope. After
the match, an irate McClure warned Ash to watch his officiating in the future.
3. AXL ROTTEN & "Outlaw" BILLY GUNN def. "Underwear Model" ERIC PRIEST & SAL
THOMASELLI in a tag team encounter.
Due to more poor officiating by RYAN ASH during the tag match, DAVE PRAZAK
took the microphone and officially fired Ash as an IWA-MS referee, and granted
CHANDLER McCLURE his request to get Ash in the ring for a match at the return
event in Herrin on 6/17.
4. MICKIE KNUCKLES def. MsCHIF in the first ever IWA-MS Women's Division
Steel Cage Match after a top rope superbomb followed by her new Knuckle Lock
Suplex finisher. Both women got busted open during the course of yet another
hard
hitting battle in their feud.
As the steel cage began to be taken down, JIMMY JACOBS interrupted ring
announcer KEVIN HUNSPERGER, coming out in a suit with pink pinstripes and the
IWA
World Title belt over his shoulder. Jacobs announced that he would not be
defending the title later in the night, only to be confronted by BRANDON
THOMASELLI. After the two had words, Thomaselli turned his back to walk away
from
Jacobs, and Jacobs clipped Brandon's leg from behind and repeatedly rammed the
belt
into his knee. Several wrestlers pulled Jacobs off of him and helped
Thomaselli back to the locker room.
5. CJ OTIS def. the masked CARNAGE with a schoolboy roll up.
6. TRIK DAVIS & TJ DALTON def. LOTUS & CRAZY J after Dalton hit a flying
neckbreaker off the top rope. For the second night in a row, the Ohio duo of
Lotus
& Crazy J demonstrated their high flying abilities to the IWA-MS fans.
7. "The New Age Punisher" B-BOY def. JOSH ABERCROMBIE after connecting with
the Shining Wizard.
8. JIMMY JACOBS def. BRANDON THOMASELLI to retain the IWA World Heavyweight
Title. Jacobs came to the ring still wearing his suit, not dressed to defend
the title. Thomaselli said that he didn't care what Jacobs was wearing, the
match was on. Jacobs wound up taking off the suit coat and his dress shirt, and
wrestled the entire match in his suit pants, focusing on the knee of Thomaselli
for the duration of the contest. Late in the match, a steel chair was brought
into the ring. As Jacobs attempted to grab it off the canvas and use it while
he had Thomaselli in the figure four leglock, the referee took the chair out
of his hands. As the referee was disposing of the chair, with his back to
Jacobs and Thomaselli, Jimmy pulled a foreign object out of his pants and hit
Brandon in the head with it, knocking him out. The referee came back to see
Brandon
passed out in the figure four, and counted his shoulders down for the
pinfall.
NOTES: The event was filmed by Smart Mark Video with two cameras for home
video release, with commentary by Dave Prazak and Trik Davis... Attendance was
150, solidifying Herrin as a regular stop on the schedule... IWA-MS returns to
the Civic Center in Herrin, IL on 6/17.
We're back in action next Friday night, 5/6, with an event at the Park
District Recreation Center in Midlothian, IL. Look for matches for the event to
be
announced on the IWA-MS web site during the coming days.
We return to the Armory in Salem, IN on Friday night, 5/20.
We're back at the Armory in Vincennes, IN on Saturday night, 5/21.

NO MORE LINCOLN CENTER; LIQUOR POLICY TO BE ENFORCED
--------------------------------------------------
An announcement was made to the IWA-MS fans at the end of intermission on
Friday night in Valparaiso concerning the Lincoln Center in Highland, IN making
the decision to no longer host IWA-MS live events.
We attempted to convince Lincoln Center management to allow us to run one
last show at the building on 5/28 and they refused. Their decision was due to
fans drinking alcohol in the parking lot during the shows. Alcohol containers
were found in the parking lot the day after the last show... and parents bring
their children to the facility for activities on Sundays. Management of the
building told us that the "atmosphere" we bring with us is not something they
wish
to deal with any longer.
We will, from this point forward, be enforcing a strict policy concerning
alcohol that any fans bring into the vicinity of any of the venues in which we
run. It will NOT be tolerated, and if any fans are caught with alcohol in the
future at any IWA-MS events, those fans will be permanently banned from
attending our events. We cannot, and will not tolerate it. It has already cost
us our
most financially successful venue. If you are a fan of our product, respect
the guidelines we and the venues we promote our shows at have set... and wait
until after the show if you want to drink.
We are set to return to Valparaiso on Friday, 5/27. The "No Blood, No Guts,
No Glory 2005" event featuring the double ring, double cage War Games match was
scheduled to take place at the Lincoln Center on 5/28. We've contacted all of
the venues which we currently promote shows at within the general
Highland/Chicago area, and none of them have 5/28 available. We are exploring
other
options, and several locations within a 20 or so mile radius of Highland, to try
to
hold the show on the same date, just at a new location. If we are unable to
confirm a new location for 5/28, the alternate date we're looking at is the
originally scheduled June Highland date, 6/18. We've booked the Hammond Armory
for that date, regardless. As soon as it is determined when and where NBNGNG '05
will take place, an announcement will be made on the web site. Fans who have
tickets to the show that wind up unable to attend either at the new location
or on a potentially rescheduled date will be able to obtain refunds.
We thank the fans for their patience, and we will keep everyone informed
about the NBNGNG '05 event as soon as arrangements are made with a new venue.
