HEADLINES:
--ARIK CANNON DEFEATS AMERICAN DRAGON!!
--DELIRIOUS DEFEATS AJ STYLES!!
--STONE & IAN IN LOCKER ROOM CLEARING BRAWL!!

IWA Mid-South Wrestling, in association with NWA Midwest, presented "Stylin'
In The Summertime" on Saturday night, July 31st at the Lincoln Center in
Highland, IN. Here's what went down...

1. JIMMY JACOBS def. MARK WOLF & "Spyder" NATE WEBB in the opening contest to
earn a future IWA Light Heavyweight Title shot.

JIM FANNIN then came out to the ring and went on a verbal tirade which
brought TRIK DAVIS out to the ring. Davis asked Fannin to back up his words and
fight him himself. "Metalhead" STEVE STONE soon hit the ring, apparently now
aligned with Fannin, and attacked Davis. As the two began to brawl, one of the
referees slid into the ring and called for the bell to sanction an impromptu
match
between the two.

2. TRIK DAVIS def. "Metalhead" STEVE STONE (w/ Jim Fannin) via
disqualification when Stone (much like Cash Flo the previous month) refused to
pin Davis,
and simply continued to assault him. This led to IAN ROTTEN hitting the ring on
Stone, prompting a locker room clearing brawl between the two, to be settled
on 8/21 in Highland.

3. TRACY BROOKS def. DAIZEE HAZE & MsCHIF & MICKIE KNUCKLES in a Women's
Division four-way match. MsChif blew green mist in Daizee's eyes causing her to
stagger into Brooks' Pie In The Sky off the top rope for the pinfall. During the
opening minute or so of the bout, Daizee hit a top rope moonsault to the
floor on MsChif and Tracy, followed by Mickie executing her first dive in an IWA
match as well.

4. DELIRIOUS def. "The Phenomenal" AJ STYLES to retain the IWA Light
Heavyweight Championship after KID KASH attacked Styles, leading to Delirious
scoring
the pinfall.

5. BRAD BRADLEY & RYAN BOZ def. NIGEL McGUINNESS & CHAD COLLYER to retain the
IWA World Tag Team Championship.

6. CM PUNK def. MATT SYDAL via submission after a shining wizard followed by
a half crab. Punk worked over the leg of Sydal for the duration of the match,
leading to the the eventual tap out victory.

7. SABU def. DANNY DANIELS & KID KASH in a non-sanctioned three-way match
when Sabu pinned Daniels following a triple jump moonsault. The match saw the
return of the Lincoln Center's unbreakable reinforced tables, as Sabu attemped
to
put Daniels and Kash through a table with a legdrop, but the table wouldn't
give. During the closing moments of the match, AJ STYLES and Kash started to go
at it once again on the floor, leaving Sabu alone in the ring with Daniels to
score the pin.

8. "Anarchist" ARIK CANNON def. "American Dragon" BRYAN DANIELSON after
landing a second Glimmering Warlock to the neck of Danielson, which was the
focus
of Cannon's attack during the bout. Danielson connected with well over a dozen
European uppercuts in their over twenty minute battle.

9. PETEY WILLIAMS def. ALEX SHELLEY two falls to one, to retain the IWA World
Heavyweight Championship. Shelley won the first fall when Petey tapped out to
the Border City Stretch. Williams scored the second fall with the Shapshooter
to even the match up . The third and deciding fall was scored when Williams
countered out of the Border City Stretch and rolled Shelley into a pinning
predicament for the pinfall.

10. "Mr. Insanity" TOBY KLEIN def. MAD MAN PONDO in a non-sanctioned Barbed
Wire Tables Match following a Death Valley Driver through one of the tables.
After the match, Pondo challenged Klein to a rematch on the 8/21 Highland event,
in a Fan Lumberjack Strap Match. IAN ROTTEN agreed to sign the match, and
explained that each fan will be given a raffle ticket upon entering the building
that night, and 16 will be chosen at random to be the lumberjacks for the
match.

SHOW NOTES: The event was filmed by Smart Mark Video with two cameras for
home video release, with commentary by Dave Prazak, CM Punk, and Jim Fannin...
For those who get the video release, take note that during the Shelley/Williams
match, Punk mentions on commentary that 8/21 is a New Japan Pro Wrestling USA
tv taping date, which would stand in the way of a few of the matches Ian
announced from taking place at IWA on 8/21. In actuality, the date had been
rescheduled by NJPW-USA, and Punk wasn't yet aware of the change when he said
it.
That's one of the drawbacks of doing the commentary live-to-tape at the shows.
The announced matches for IWA on that night are still a go... It was announced
that the IWA Mid-South 8th Anniversary Show will take place this October in
Highland (in addition to the Ted Petty Invitational tournament being at the
Lincoln Center on September 17th & 18th)... Mercedes Martinez will make her
return
to IWA Women's Division competition TPI weekend, following an impressive
showing in the title tournament in May... The event drew IWA's second largest
attendance at the Lincoln Center since we began running the venue in October of
2003.

IWA Mid-South returns to action on Friday, August 13th to the National Guard
Armory (5220 East 200 South) in Lafayette, IN. Lineup information for the
event will be released during the coming days.

Announced thus far for the return event at the Lincoln Center (2450 Lincoln
Street) in Highland, IN on August 21st...
