IWA Mid-South Hardcore Wrestling returns to action at the IWA Arena (1390
Woerner Ave.) in Clarksville, IN this coming Saturday night, May 24th, for
"Spirit of '76." Here is a look at the card thus far for this Saturday
night...

Plus more matches to be announced during the coming days. Please note that
the originally scheduled Heavyweight Title Match between Chris Hero and
Justice Pain has been changed due to IWA management's inability to confirm
the booking with Pain in several attempts during this past week. As a result,
former Sweet Science Sixteen champion "Sexy" Ace Steel will get the title
shot. Keep checking the web site and the IWA hotline at 502-569-1701 for up
to the minute card information for "Spirit of '76."


CHRIS HERO RETAINS HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE IN 45 MINUTES AGAINST DANNY DANIELS
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

IWA Mid-South presented an event on Saturday, May 17th in Clarksville, IN.
Here are your results...

1. TAREK THE GREAT def. SIMON SEZZ in the opening contest with a Tarek Buster
off the 2nd rope.

2. THE AVERAGE WHITE GUY def. ROLLIN' HARD after STEVE STONE hit the ring and
interfered in the bout, causing White Guy to get the upset victory.

3. IAN ROTTEN def. Michael Todd Straton's first bounty hunter, which wound up
being the returning CASH FLO. During his time off, Cash has bulked up quite a
bit, and is now sporting new ring gear. In an incredibly brutal matchup which
saw both men bleed, and deliver several dozen headbutts to one another,
Rotten made Cash tap out in just under 30 minutes of action.

4. CORPORAL ROBINSON def. JC BAILEY in a high impact hardcore style matchup,
which saw a ring full of thumbtacks, several light tubes, and numerous fan
weapons come into play. A light tube covered table was set up on the ringside
floor behind one of the ring posts, while a barbed wire covered light tube
star was laying in the center of the ring. As Bailey set up Robinson for a
superplex onto the light tube star inside the ring, Robinson reversed the
superplex, and both men went over the ringpost, to the floor, crashing into
the light tube table. Robinson scored the pinfall on the floor. The match was
not for Bailey's IWA Light Heavyweight Title, as Corp did not meet weight
requirements before the show.

5. CHRIS HERO successfully defended the IWA Heavyweight Title against DANNY
DANIELS in a two out of three falls match. Daniels scored the first pinfall
with his feet on the ropes. Hero scored the 2nd fall after an incredible
exchange of forearms between the two competitors, the last of which nearly
knocked Daniels out. As the 45 minute time limit on the match began to run
out during the final fall, Hero locked in the Hangman's Clutch in the center
of the ring. Daniels stayed in the hold until the time limit expired and did
not tap out. Hero thus retains the Heavyweight Title with the match ending in
a draw, but Danny Daniels still claims that Hero did not defeat him, and he
is still the uncrowned champ.

6. "Mean" MITCH PAGE def. BULL PAIN after launching a steel chair at the head
of Pain and then hitting a splash with the aid of a chair, leading to the
pinfall. After the bell, Pain started to work over Page with the baseball bat
until CORPORAL ROBINSON hit the ring on Bull.

The 5/17 event was filmed with two cameras by Smart Mark Video. SMV will also
be in to film the next two weeks of shows (5/24 and 5/31).

Mark your calendars: "The Revolution" strong style tournament is Friday, June
27th. "King of the Death Matches" is August 1st & 2nd.

KING OF THE DEATH MATCHES RAPIDLY APPROACHING!

The 2003 "King of the Death Matches" tournament will take place on August 1st
& 2nd in Clarksville, IN. Tickets are currently on sale, and moving fast. You
can still get tickets in the 3rd and 4th rows of the floor, as well as
general admission. Prices are $36 & $32 for two night packages, or $20 & $18
for single night tickets. Tickets can be purchased at any live IWA events or
by sending a check or money order payable to Jim Fannin, to: IWA Mid-South,

the first night is a rematch of one of the most talked about rivalries in IWA
history, CM Punk vs. Chris Hero.

Coming from Louisville: Take I-65 North to Exit 0. Go straight to the 2nd
stop sign (past McDonalds and Waffle House) and turn left onto 7th Street. Go
through the 1st stop sign and turn right into Water Tower Square (400
Missouri Street). Go straight all the way to the back of the parking lot to
find the IWA building.

Coming from Indianapolis: Take I-65 South to Exit 0. Go straight at the stop
sign by KOBE. As soon as you go under the bridge, turn right on Missouri
Street. Then turn left into the Water Tower Square at 400 Missouri Street. Go
straight all the way to the back of the parking lot to find the IWA building.
