--CHRIS HERO DEFEATS CM PUNK TO WIN IWA TITLE!!
--MATCH TIME: 92 MINUTES, 15 SECONDS!!
--HERO VS. TODD, IAN VS BRADLEY, MORE TONIGHT!!
IWA Mid-South Hardcore Wrestling presented a live event last night, Friday, February 7th, at the IWA Arena (1390 Woerner Ave.) in Clarksville, IN celebrating the one year anniversary of the weekend of shows that featured the historic CM Punk vs. Chris Hero 55 minute tables & ladders match (02.09.02 in Charlestown, IN). As part of Friday's show, Punk and Hero battled each other once again, this time a 2 out of 3 falls matchup with a 90 minute time limit.
Due to the fact that the last time Punk and Hero tangled (12.21.02 in Clarksville, IN) they wrestled to a 60 minute time limit draw, and several of their previous matches went anywhere from 35-55 minutes in length, the 90 minute time limit was established for Friday's 2 out of 3 falls bout.
The first fall went to CM Punk when he went for the shining wizard, Hero ducked it, Punk rotated all the way around and landed a solid kick to the side of Hero's head and scored a three count at approximately the 53 minute mark.
Hero won the second fall, evening the match up at one fall a piece by giving Punk his very own finisher, the Pepsi Plunge (top rope pedigree) and gaining a pinfall at about the 70 minute mark.
The two traded endless nearfalls until they went to what referee Rudy Charles ruled a double pin at 89 minutes, 54 seconds. Promoter Ian Rotten came to ringside and said the match would continue with a sudden death period. Next fall would win the match, and the IWA Heavyweight Championship.
Ending the match at a total time of 92 minutes, 15 seconds, Punk tapped out as Hero locked on the Hangman's Clutch in the center of the ring.
Smart Mark Video filmed the match for home video release. Copies will be made available shortly at smartmarkvideo.com and iwamidsouthwrestling.com, as well as at upcoming live IWA Mid-South events.

stop sign (past McDonalds and Waffle House) and turn left onto 7th Street. Go
through the 1st stop sign and turn right into Water Tower Square (400
Missouri Street). Go straight all the way to the back of the parking lot to
find the IWA building.
Coming from Indianapolis: Take I-65 South to Exit 0. Go straight at the stop
sign by KOBE. As soon as you go under the bridge, turn right on Missouri
Street. Then turn left into the Water Tower Square at 400 Missouri Street. Go
straight all the way to the back of the parking lot to find the IWA building.
