Greetings!  I'm pleased to inform you that the original TKD action figure
"Taekwon-Joe" has returned for a limited time.  These figures are 12" tall (like
a GI-Joe) and are fully poseable.  They come complete with an official ITF 4th
through 9th Dan do bok with black belt.  They also have the official patch of
the ITF on the left chest.  (Patches are removable so, if you don't want the
USTF badge, you can peel it off.)

Hello,

It was made very clear at the last IIC in New York that the ITF wants the USA to
get it's act together and work together to promote ITF Taekwon-do. Now, with
respect to Mr. Weston's opinion, I will repeat my call to ANY seriously
interested group in the USA who wants to participate in the World Cup next
October to contact me privately. We will see what we can do to allow your
participation.

Also, if you are interested in joining us for the IIC in Denver, please let me
know.

The ITF is hosting the above noted events in the US, because they feel they have
a good, democratic organization that would be well supported here.

So, let's move forward shall we?

Taekwon,

Travis G. Young

Ok, now lets ee if I have this right:
It appears that the ITF-V & the ITF-NK met in Vienna Austria on Sept 12, 2009.
There were apparently 2 representatives from the ITF-V & 3 from the ITF-NK. The
ITF-NK reports back to their Bd of Directors & congress in October of 2009.
Apparently the news is well received & they are given the permission to meet
again to further the talks. The ITF-V does the same in November of 2009. However
their congress says no, we don't want you to talk any further, even though their
own Bd of Directors wanted to continue talks, just talks.

Can someone explain this to me like I am a 9 year old, as I am having a very
hard time following this or the reason why more talks was not embraced. We are
talking about only having further discussions right? They weren't voting on any
merger where they?

Setting political agendas aside, having these two groups join together

The way I read that, it basically boils down to ITF-V no longer needs
other ITF practitioners to pay for their events. It's as if they are
saying, "Now that we are financially solvent, we don't need you. Either

I personally don't care for Vegas and couldn't make that trip anyway. So

ITF-C/US-ITF has been a bit more open to other ITF practitioners. And it

Hello,

I have just returned from an amazing event in Argentina. The USA did well
earning a 7th place in the medal points, and a 5th place in the medal count out
of 47 countries and 750 athletes in attendance.

I did not attend the Congress meeting that happened over 6 hours, on Friday
morning and evening. I was busy working with the competitors for which I was
responsible. So the following is related to you from me as a secondary source.
Grand Master Van Bynh and Master Suarez from the United States were the only US
representatives at the congress meeting, and I would suggest you contact them if
you want it straight from "the horses mouth" so to speak.

Essentially, the key to resolution between the two groups is an ongoing lawsuit
concerning the ownership and occupation of a building in Vienna and a copyright
infringement case on the use of the ITF name and logos. The copyright case is
complete (in Vienna only), and the Chang Ung group has modified their uniforms
and logo slightly, but not the ITF insignia and name. The building is currently
occupied by the North Korean Group and Grand Master Tran's ITF would like them
removed. This lawsuit is costing both groups a lot of money that could be put
to better use elsewhere.

The Board of GM Tran's ITF would like to have the lawsuit dropped, so that
further deliberations concerning the joint participation of both groups in
future World Cup and World Championships could be obtained for the betterment of
TKD competitors around the world.

GM Tran's ITF is a democracy, and the member countries have voted to continue
the lawsuit at this time. The vote was split, with (from what I hear) about 55%
voting to continue, and 45% voting to stop the lawsuit.

So this means that there will be in all likelyhood no further discussions
concerning joint championships until the lawsuit is settled. The ITF Congress
meets every two years, so perhaps things will have moved along a bit more, and a
new vote will be taken in New Zealand in 2011 to move forward with better
relations.

That's all I know at this time. I would note that the World Cup is to be held
in Las Vegas this next October, and this event can be attended by ANY blue belt
and above who practices the ITF system. So even non-member groups can be
accepted to this event if they request to do so. Consider this an invitation to
all those out there in the USA who might want some international competition for
their students, but for whatever reason are not members of GM Tran's ITF.
Please contact me privately for more information.

Further, there will be an International Instructor Course held by GM Tran's ITF
in Denver next year in April for anyone interested in attending and finding out
what our group is all about.

Travis G. Young

I believe GM Tran said this was just a prelimanary meeting to find out what
ITF-NK's expectations are. Being that both sa they are the legit ITF it is going
to be hard to merge without an election by both groups for President.

Subject: Lesnar Has Bacterial Infection, 'Should Be Released Soon' From Hospital

The mystery surrounding Brock Lesnar's illness has been cleared up a bit. The
UFC heavyweight champion is suffering from a bacterial infection in his
intestinal tract, though it looks like he may be released from the hospital
soon.

"He's in stable condition and should be released soon," UFC president Dana White
said.

White said he spoke with Lesnar on Monday, but he wouldn't reveal which hospital
Lesnar was currently being treated at because he wanted to protect his privacy.

White also said he is encouraging Lesnar to check into the renowned Mayo Clinic
in Minnesota for further treatment, but still doesn't know if Lesnar will fight
again.

"It depends on how serious this is," White said.

White relayed Lesnar's thanks to all his fans for their support as the champ
tries to battle through this infection. "He's never in good spirits and he's not
in good spirits now," White said.

As reported earlier, Lesnar's possible title defense against Shane Carwin at UFC
108 on Jan. 2 has been postponed indefinitely while Lesnar recovers.

Subject: UFC Heavyweight Champ Brock Lesnar Facing Serious Health Crisis

Shortly after Saturday's UFC 105 card in Manchester, England, concluded, UFC
President Dana White revealed that his promotion's heavyweight champion, Brock
Lesnar, is suffering from serious health problems and will not be able to fight
any time soon.

  tweetmeme_source = 'FanHouse';

"He's in rough shape, he's in really bad shape," White said, according to the
Canadian Press. "He is not well and he is not getting any better. ... He's very,
very sick and he's going to be out for a while. He's got a lot of problems. ...
He's got mono and he's got something else wrong with him.
I know what's wrong with him, he just doesn't want me talking about it."

White didn't say exactly what is wrong with Lesnar, although he did specify that
it is not cancer or AIDS. The UFC had previously said Lesnar was suffering from
mononucleosis, but his illness is apparently more serious than that.

Lesnar had been scheduled to defend his title against Shane Carwin on Nov. 21.
When he first started to feel sick, the UFC tentatively re-scheduled the Carwin
bout for Jan. 2. But it will likely be long after Jan. 2 before Lesnar, who won
the undisputed heavyweight title by defeating Frank Mir at UFC 100, is ready to
fight again.

White made room for the possibility of putting together a fight for an interim
heavyweight title while Lesnar is sidelined, although it's not clear who would
participate in that fight. Carwin is reportedly sidelined with a knee injury,
while another top UFC heavyweight, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, is reportedly
battling a staph infection.

The Lesnar illness is the worst piece of news yet in an autumn that has been
full of bad news for the UFC. Champions Lyoto Machida, Anderson Silva and
Georges St. Pierre have all battled injuries, and one of the promotion's most
marketable stars, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, says he is quitting the UFC to
pursue an acting career. Even on a day when it had a successful show in England,
the UFC is going through a rough patch.
