The myofascial massage helped a little.
I had my last PT appointment yesterday.
I am trying to narrow it down as to what exercises I was doing at PT when the
ITBS started. It reared its ugly heat about two weeks into PT for my hamstring
problem.
I am going to give our myotherapy (pressure point) person another crack at it.
It has gotten worse in that it woke me up last night and the night before. It
happened when I moved in my sleep. I believe it was because I pulled my bent leg
backwards.
I wanted to ask whether any of you have gotten the sharp knee pain while driving
your car. A short trip is ok for me but anythin more than 10 minutes or so gives
me a pinched feeling and pain when I need to brake. I have had to shift my left
foot over to operate the brake sometimes.
My PT said it would go away as I continued to strengthen with my at home
exercises. I like my PT but I think getting away from them will do the most
good. I guess I should give it two weeks or so to see if I find any improvment.
I am thinking of consulting an orthopedic doctor but am afraid it will be a
waste of time and money as he/she spouts the same old stuff that applies to
runners.
Sorry to whine,
Michele Dougherty
