Help!

I was/am an avid runner. I also referee ice hockey and lacrosse. Approx.
6 month ago, i felt pain in the area of my hip with pain down the leg on the
same side of my hip...the degree of severity of the hip varies from day to day
and sometimes hour to hour..I have seen 2 doctors

the first diagnosed "bursitis"...and advised to take it easy and take
Aleve/Advil...this helped only for short time

I then visited a second doctor(orthopedic)....he diagnosed ITBS..

My pain is mostly hip (feels like right at the join where femur and hip
connect)..

Has anyone else had a similar problem?..could it be ITBS?....I am scheduled
for an MRI next week..

Any insight would be greatly appreciated

It can be more complicated than that. I think it is a good idea to give running a rest for a bit but also try to find out what the underlying problem is that...
