Hi all,
I am nowhere near the runner that you all seem to be, but here is my
set of symptoms, which started after I tried to go back to running
after many years of break because of right knee troubles (diagnosed
as patellofemoral syndrome by my doc, but the symptoms were different)
This started out as a tightness when in my left knee-to-hip, but
mainly to the outside of the knee, if I tried to sit with my leg bent
and folded to the side. I had been exercising on the elliptical and
bike regularly when this started.
Other symptoms include: tightness behind the knee when walking, I
want to walk with that leg straight, knee pops when I walk, hurts
after sitting, outside of the knee hurts around the top of the
rotation when I ride a bike. At night, only the outside of the knee
aches.
Can ITBS include all these other symptoms, or does it sound like
something else instead, or something else as well? Is it possible for
the pain to radiate from the tendon?
Thank you. Obviously I will see a doctor. I just keep hoping it will
get better on its own.
