Hello there,
My name is david and i was wondering if you could help me. I
sustained an injury while playing football (soccer) at the beginning
of May and i am still suffering from it now. The pain seems to be
around the fibula head. Sometimes i get slight pain under the knee
but not as much as the top of the fibula. I don't know how the actual
injury happened because i did not get injured during the match. I did
not notice a twist, pop or a pull. I finished the game not knowing i
had injured myself. It was not til the next day that my knee problems
begu. My knee had swollen and i had slight bruising around the back
of my knee. I could hardly walk for 4-5 days. I can walk easily
enough now but i can still feel something not right on the outside of
my knee. My first thought was a tear to the meniscus but my physio
does not think its that because i have no clciking or locking of the
knee. I have been having phyiso for 2 months now and it does not seem
to want to shift. My physio believes it to be something to do with
the itb band. Does this sound like it could be something to do with
the itb band. I get the pain the most when i squat and th pain is
located at the fibula head. I have jsut started stretching the itb
for the last couple of days so hopefully i will get some improvement.
Any help would be appreciated
