If you have ITBS symptoms while biking continuing to ride through pain will
only worsen the problem and prolong your recovery. A general rule is you can
continue an activity with an annoyance but not woth pain. You need to decide
the difference between pain and annoyance but it is usually not difficult. I
would consider swimming or aqua-jogging for 2 weeks and then try riding again
while continuing your stretching/strengthening routine. If you are in decent
shape you could finish the ride but obviously not at your fastest.
