I have both. The foam roller is way better because you can get your
bodyweight on it. The stick is awkward for IT band massage.

I'm in the early stages of what I think is ITBS (calling the doctor on
Monday to confirm). I'm wondering which is better...the Foam Roller
or The Stick? It would seem to me that the stick would do a better
job, but would like to hear from those of you that have used both or
either. I know you all understand this, but HELP...I MISS RUNNING!
It's been 4 weeks and the rest, stretching, and ice hasn't helped. I
will admit though that every week I've gone out and "tested the
waters". Can only go 3 miles before it strikes and I end up walking
back to the car. Is this irritating it?

Foam roller is better if: You are *very* sore, it is easier to start with this then move to the stick as the pain subsides. Also, the roller is good if you do...
