I think one of the worst things a person can do for ITBS is sit with their feet
under a desk all day. If you have that kind of job, try finding something to
prop that leg up on. I used a half-chair (desk type) that my unit was going to
throw out.
Here's something to think about: when I went to my new OS (2003) & showed him
where the pain was on the outside of my knee, he said it was more likely due to
my torn meniscus. He was right.

Hey Donna
Don't forget to ice regularly when it flares up, and take
anti-inflammatories like ibuprofen. I would also be careful about how much
you are doing. If it is getting worse just be conscious of whether it's
because you are doing too much stetching etc. I learnt the hard way,
thinking I was being good by doing all my exercises/stretches/massage.......
and ended up making it so much worse. Rest is also an important part in
getting it better,
good luck!
Cheers
Kate
