The Consumer Pricing Bureau has issued the following statement:

"As a result of surging fuel costs leading to escalating transportation costs coupled by a worldwide shortage of wheat and corn grains and a drastic reduction in livestock we are projecting an increase in overall grocery prices in the range of 48% - 53% within the next 90 days."

This is the same company that projected a 40% increase 3 months ago and the actual increase was 41%. I took out my calculator and converted these figures into real costs. And now, racers, a STERN warning: while de-marking the 62-mile Iron
Cross course, we have been disappointed to find A LOT of trash (gu
packs, bottles, energy bar wrappers, etc.) that you guys left on the
course.  This can't continue.  It is terrible etiquette and could
result in loss of the venue.  Rules will be changed next year to
mandate a DQ for any rider who litters.
