Lotsa news...see the fine results below from our TT regulars (thanks,
Jim!) as well as confirmation of the July 25 South Mountain HC from
Cleversburg...
...and this is from Vanderkitten, regarding 'cross bike deals:
"We are also putting together a cross program to promote Vanderkitten
and Ahrens bicycles. We have a guys (non-Vanderkitten) program as
well. (I work with Ahrens on marketing and product development).
There are some fantastic deals available for frame/fork/headset and
complete bikes. They are all handbuilt in the USA of 7005 Easton with
Reynolds carbon cross forks and King headsets. The normal retail on
the frame is $1500, and he is offering a special promotion for $1250
for handbuilt frame, reynolds carbon cross fork and King Headset!!
Complete bikes start at $1850 for and FSA/105 build kit, and then step
up from there to an pro level build with SRAM Rival/FSA Carbon and
finally to an Elite UCI level bike for just around $3,000... about
$1500 off of retail. (FSA Carbon tubular wheels, all carbon FSA parts,
SRAM Force, etc, etc). We expect the frame to weigh in under 3lbs.
The Vanderkitten bikes have a special paint job to match the
Vanderkitten Kit (included with each Vanderkitten frame/fork/headset
or complete bike!!). Tell your friends, we have a list together now
and it's only a $500 deposit to get the ball rolling. They are sick
frames and Christine Vardaros will be racing one this year in UCI
action for Vanderkitten."
