I think you're right about DK and Ireland Stu but I hope you're wrong. I said
some time ago that he'll be watched like a hawk and every move criticised by his
detractors. Donal disagreed and suggested that the new Irish coach will have a
basically free ride for one or two years. I think Donal is right if that person
is anyone other than Kidney. For those and other reasons I hope DK does not take
the Irish job, but Gaffney would be an excellent choice and should be involved
either as head man or in some capacity.
Munster v Gloucester demonstrated just how shrewd and capable Kidney can be.
