Re: Shane Jennings

Heaslip is going to the World Cup; he was the 5th choice backrower for
the 6N this year (travelled with the squad when Leamy wasn't 100%) and
he and Leamy are the only backrow contenders who have regular gametime
at 8.

The 6th spot, if there is one, was always going to be a case of what
does Eddie think he needs? A groundhog 7 like Gleeson or O'Connor (or
Jennings) has been proven unsuccessful against Argentina, but may be
just what is needed against France. Quinlan may go, but Best is ahead
of him and they're both players that bring a lot of the same things to
the table, not to mention the fact that Easterby is in there too; just
how many lineout-jumping blindsides do we need to bring?

Seems that Jennings has a fracture in his thumb and will be out for up to 6 weeks. Basically blown his world cup chances out of the water. Ferris and Quinlan...

Jersey is awful. Bad luck for jennings. I'd probably go for quinlan due to his experience. ________________________________________________ Engineering...

Depending on how many backrowers go I'd imagine that Heaslip might be in the mix too. To be honest I don't think that Jennings was going to go anyway, he had...

Quinlan's disciplinary record will always count against him in my opinion. Had he not suffered from the red mist coming down quite so often i think he would...

I agree with your assessment of the reputation Stuart but one suspension for Munster and one YC for Ireland has been blown into a disciplinary problem. That...

Hi Richard, you could well be right and in a lot of ways i'd agree with you about taking those in form now rather than using the RWC as a development tool. My...
