ALLISON LEGACY RACING
"Real cars, real kids, real racing and a unique entrée into an
untapped market where Reality
TV and sports programming merge together to appeal to young audiences
and adults."
Anyone that produces or watches television knows that NASCAR and NASCAR
styled racing currently dominates the world of sports – bypassing
every field and grass event from football to baseball to tennis and
soccer and has become the most popular male and female viewed sport in
America.
Before you read one more word… this is not about your average
teenager racing fan sitting in the stands or in front of a TV set
watching a race or playing a related video game. This is about a fast
growing selection of clean cut, all American male and female teenagers
who do well in school and in their standings – and we mean their
race standings. They legally get to live out the fantasy of racing by
getting behind the wheel of real race cars in real races, participate
in the care and maintenance of their vehicles (mostly with their
mother's and father's proudly at their side). Then they don their fire
suits, helmets and 2-way radio and hit the bricks at various oval
tracks all over America. When they hit 120 MPH in the straight-a-ways,
many end up listening to their dad or mom on the head set saying "take
that next corner inside and tighter…" They also have a growing
legion of "groupies" – mostly young girls – that have
established fan clubs and blog stat updates on their favorite racers.
Yes – it's a mostly male selection of teen and t'ween racers, and
the average age of the drivers is just under 16 -- but there are some
as young as 13. It is "NASCAR" meets the "Clearasil set" but it's also
a legitimate and recognized series of national car racing events that
are exempt from the highly restrictive NASCAR fees, licensing,
requirements and regulations.
THE KIDS AND THE CARS: Just imagine every car loving teenage boy (or
girl) having their dream come true – legally sitting behind the
wheel of a real race car, starting the engine, then hitting the track
and all before some even have their "state driver's license." They are
part of The Allison Legacy Race Series and they drive the Allison
Legacy Race Car. The car is a three-quarter sized replica of a Sprint
Cup car and is powered by a four cylinder MAZDA B-2200 truck engine
that produces approximately 125 horsepower. The cars use the standard
MAZDA five-speed transmission. The cars weigh about 1,400 pounds dry
but must weigh a minimum of 1,675 pounds with driver to race. The
series is a "SPEC" series designed to minimize racing costs and place
the emphasis on the driver instead of the equipment.
Quoting Kenny Allison: "With Circa, we will create a program that isn't
just about race cars, it will be a show where viewers will get to meet
the real future stars of racing, the talented young people who sit
behind the wheels of the Legacy Cars. Legacy drivers get to learn hands
on what it means to be a driver in the tradition of Sprint Cup racing
and former Legacy drivers are now young professionals on such top
NASCAR teams as DEI, Joe Gibbs Racing, Rousch-Fenway, Petty Enterprises
and Team Red Bull Racing."
"The Allison Legacy Cars are excellent equipment for the beginner to
get his or her first exposure to racing," said David Pearson, winner of
105 NASCAR Winston Cup races. "They are well designed and
professionally constructed cars that will give the drivers the same
feel and experience they would get from a bigger and more powerful car."
The Allison Brothers, sons of former NASCAR competitor Donnie Allison,
are the creators of the Allison Legacy car. Rules and National
technical inspections are strictly enforced to limit alterations to the
basic car. The engines are sealed and can only be rebuilt through
Allison Brothers Race Cars. The engines are resealed before shipment
back to the competitor. Almost all parts are spec and cannot be
modified for competition.
THE ALLISON LEGACY RACING TV PROGRAM: Each week's hour episode will
focus in on the "on and off the race track" lives of two of our racers
and their families. We'll tape these bio docs only on the 18 and under
drivers from each of the three Legacy Race regions. These bio docs will
allow us to meet the kids, see what their home life is like – their
school life – meet their friends and of course their cars! How do
they get to the tracks? How are their parents involved and how do they
feel about their kids choosing this sport!
With the help of the Allison family and other race officials, eight
drivers from the three regions (totaling 24 / 2 per episode) will be
chosen (taking into consideration their race standings). They will
receive a nominal fee for their appearance. They will all then end up
in one specially created two hour race to be broadcast live. Over these
13 weeks, 12 one-hour long programs will be treated as stand alone
"directed flow" episodes (hybrid reality-scripted content) that will be
our way to introduce the audience to the racers, the story behind the
cars, the building of the cars, safety tips, the stories behind the
Allison's, mini documentaries on the race tracks and we'll get to cover
various local race events around the country as we lead into the final
episode.
THE ALLISON FAMILY AND THE LEGACY: Legacy according to the Webster
Dictionary means "a gift received from or passed down by an ancestor or
predecessor from the past." A wealth of racing knowledge, a gift, a
legacy, has truly been passed down from one generation of Allison's to
the next. Most noted for the "Alabama Gang", the Allison family has
been a part of NASCAR and stock car racing since before the time
multi-million dollar sponsors made their way into the sport. Back before
auto racing reached its' mega-stardom of today, Donnie and Bobby Allison
simply grew up with the sport, etching the Allison name into racing's
history books in the process. The Allison name also has many race fans
reflecting on the tragedies endured by the family over the years, as
the names Davey and Clifford Allison remind us all of how things can
change in the blink of an eye. In addition to racing, the Allison's are
about family, and that remains their strength to carry on in a sport
passed down through a generation. Today, the Allison family heritage is
being carried on by brothers, Kenny, Ronald, and Donald, sons of the
legendary Donnie Allison. The Allison brothers are experienced racers,
who are best known presently in the sport, as premium race car
builders. Though the brothers have built everything from Winston Cup to
All Pro race cars, their most visible work in recent years has been
seen through the tremendous growth of the Legends car series. At the
beginning of 1996, following three years of research and development,
the brothers introduced a car and series with a different set of
criteria from the Legends. The Allison Legacy Race Car is a real race
car built by a family of pure racers. With their introduction of the
Allison Legacy Race Car, the brothers are carrying on the Allison
family heritage in auto racing.
In addition to the Allison brothers, the family name continues to be
heard throughout the racing industry. Pam Allison Stricklin, sister of
Kenny, Ronald, and Donald, is married to former NASCAR Cup driver Hut
Stricklin. Stevie Allison, cousin to the Allison brothers, has made his
mark in auto racing by competing in the Slim Jim All Pro Series and
currently works with young drivers as a teacher and mentor. Donnie
Allison also remains actively involved with racing and the Allison
Legacy Series as a motorsports consultant. Donnie's wife Pat, a past
Director of the Winston Cup Racing Wives Auxiliary, serves as
Administrator for CompCar of NC, Inc., and the sanctioning body of the
Allison Legacy Race Series. Bobby Allison, a noted ambassador in auto
racing, continues his involvement with NASCAR and the Cup Series.
This entire series is a highly advertiser and sponsor friendly event.
However, because this is "family friendly" entertainment focused on
children 18 years of age or under, no alcohol products, no gambling and
no Viagra type sponsorships will be allowed. But everything from
Clearasil to Coke – Pepsi to McDonald's – Levi Jeans to Nike,
and video game manufacturers are all highly welcomed!

Circa Pictures Enters Into a Production Partnership Agreement With
Allison Legacy Racing
LOS ANGELES, Sept 04, 2008 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Circa
Pictures
and Production Co., Intl., Inc. (Pink Sheets: CPPD) announced today they
entered
into an exclusive Reality Television production partnership agreement
with
Allison Legacy Racing (www.allisonlegacy.com
<http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/lasvegasinvestor/message/_> ) According
to Constantine Papadopoulos, Circa's CEO: "We are very excited to be
joining forces with Allison Legacy Racing in the creation of a new
television
show that will introduce viewers to this unique concept. The Allison
Family is
true royalty in the world of Stock Car Racing and Kenny, Ronald and
Donald
Allison have continued this family tradition in the creation of the
Legacy
Racing circuit and the Legacy car."
According to Frank Hagan, Circa's VP of Television: "Three years ago, I
was on a
production shoot in Hickory, NC and saw the Allison Legacy car in
action. It's a
real race car, a Nextel Cup style racer designed and built by a family
of pure
racers. When I learned the average age of the drivers was 15 years of
age, I
immediately knew I wanted to turn Legacy Racing into a reality show.
Now, with
Circa and the Allison's, its going to happen. The program will be called
Allison
Legacy Racing: Real Cars, Real Kids, Real Racing. This Circa Pictures
project
will also be represented and marketed to potential venues by one of the
top
Alternative Television, Talent and Literary Agencies in Los Angeles."
Quoting Kenny Allison: "With Circa, we will create a program that isn't
just
about race cars, it will be a show where viewers will get to meet the
real
future stars of racing, the talented young people who sit behind the
wheels of
the Legacy Cars. Legacy drivers get to learn hands on what it means to
be a
driver in the tradition of Sprint Cup racing and former Legacy drivers
are now
young professionals on such top NASCAR teams as DEI, Joe Gibbs Racing,
Rousch-Fenway, Petty Enterprises and Team Red Bull Racing."
Papadopoulos continued: "Our bringing this weekly, hour-long television
show
will expose young people and all race fans to this highly organized
circuit and
into the lives of the young men and women who drive the Legacy race
car."
More on Kenny Allison and Legacy Racing
The Allison Brothers, Bobby and Donnie, are famed NASCAR racing legends.
Donnie's son Kenny Allison along with his twin brothers Ronald and
Donald
Allison have continued this family tradition. Together, they created and
own
Allison Brothers Race Cars and the Allison Legacy Racing Series. Legacy
Racing
is a circuit of coast to coast races in three existing divisions. Legacy
Racing
maintains the rules and national technical inspections are strictly
enforced to
limit any alterations to the basic car so skill and talent will be the
only
advantage a Legacy Racer can have on the track. The car itself is a
three-quarter sized replica of a Sprint Cup car and is powered by a four
cylinder MAZDA B-2200 truck engine that produces 125 horsepower. Races
occur on
oval tracks and the cars can hit a top speed of 120 MPH. This has become
NASCAR'S "Triple A team" of tomorrows racing superstars..
