Hello Marc,
You can do a google search for ba gua vcd's or tai chi vcd's and
get lots of sources. I like cmaod.org. There's usually an hours
worth of material on each vcd. You don't need a dvd player to watch
them, but a fairly quick computer is nice. You do have to download
some type of player for dat files, but they're available at the usual
places. I don't claim a total beginner can become Bruce Lee just by
watching stuff, but I've worked out lots of moves and sets from these
vcds and if you get just a few moves from one, it's worth it.

Is there no moderator here???? This is such a good group and we cannot get
rid of all the people who have nothing better to do with thier lives than go on
message boards and promote sex, porn, filth or spam. Will someone block or
report these guys!!!!!

Normm,
Are you telling us that for 10 dollars, you found a ba gua cd that
one can actually learn to fight with? Tai-chi too? May I ask where I
can see these cd,s? Sounds incredible?
Marc
I've been studying the VCD's of Cheng and Liang styles of Ba Gua
lately. This stuff is just incredible. You get pretty much the
whole art for less than ten bucks. It helps to have previous
experience but the knowledge is there for the taking at your own
pace. I've also been checking out various Tai Chi styles on VCD's
and I think these things are going to revolutionize the martial world.
Hi Everyone,
Just found a really good jow site i thought might be of interest.
http://www.ditdajows.com
they have herbs as well. I had gotten some pain cream from a friend &
they finally gave me the link... the cream works great! It doesnt
even have a smell to it.
Kind Regards,
lil_natural_one
I was just wondering, and if anyone would like to comment that would
be great, could anyone elaborate on Ba Gua as a Martial Art? Well I
know it is really good for development of internal power, but how is
the martial art incorporated in the training? What would be the time
frame for someone studying it to begin to learning that part (I know
there is alot of internal training to be done)? Also, ok this might
be hard to word, but I will try, how would a person who studied Ba
Gua fight (so lets say some one who studied TKD might be looking to
land a big kick, or other styles look for a lock, etc)? I know
recently I was looking at something, and it said that bodyguard of
Chinese Royalty used to know it. So I would assume that it would be a
very special fighting art if the body guards of a countries royalty
would use it.
I guess another reason I asked this questions is I saw another post
in a different group and it was saying that other martial arts, the
hard styles, were more effective martial arts compared to internal
arts (I think it went so far to say that in legend other styles
faired better). So that confused me a little since I heard that
internal martial arts were so powerful at high levels. Oh, I am still
a rookie in my martial arts study, so I dont mean to be off line here.
Thank you.
Hi everyone,
I found this site & thought i'd share it...

They have a huge herbal section & one of the best Dit Da Jow product
lines I have seen yet...

Hello everyone. I'm a new student to T'ai Chi and am trying to find
a teacher. I would like to know someone with the spiritual knowledge
of where, why and how it started as well as the ability and
willingness to teach me. I live in Indianapolis, Indiana and am
unable to travel until the spring or early summer. I would
appreciate online correspondence and/or someone local to learn/study
with. I don't intend on being a master martial artists in
competitions and such, just gaining the knowledge and full use of my
mind and body. I'm a peaceful person and believe things can be
resolved without violence. If anyone is interested in helping me
learn more, please contact me.

Most fan forms are single fan - Mulan form is an exception - though I don't
really consider it taiji - it's more of a dance.

What sort of fan form are you inquiring about? Though there are few
styles, it is quite diverse in it's appearance. I practice the four corners
(directions) fan form and also the dragon phoenix fan form. The dragon
phoenix form resembles the competition 42 sword form. The four corners
(direction) form is a combination of many Kung fu/wushu styles - bagua, nan
quan, taiji, chang quan, etc.
