Hello everyone. I'm a new student to T'ai Chi and am trying to find
a teacher. I would like to know someone with the spiritual knowledge
of where, why and how it started as well as the ability and
willingness to teach me. I live in Indianapolis, Indiana and am
unable to travel until the spring or early summer. I would
appreciate online correspondence and/or someone local to learn/study
with. I don't intend on being a master martial artists in
competitions and such, just gaining the knowledge and full use of my
mind and body. I'm a peaceful person and believe things can be
resolved without violence. If anyone is interested in helping me
learn more, please contact me.

Most fan forms are single fan - Mulan form is an exception - though I don't
really consider it taiji - it's more of a dance.

What sort of fan form are you inquiring about? Though there are few
styles, it is quite diverse in it's appearance. I practice the four corners
(directions) fan form and also the dragon phoenix fan form. The dragon
phoenix form resembles the competition 42 sword form. The four corners
(direction) form is a combination of many Kung fu/wushu styles - bagua, nan
quan, taiji, chang quan, etc.

Is there something in particular that you wanted?

Hello Everyone,

I have started making a "family tree" of the internal martial arts.
I wish to also include masters and key practitioners who are not
family members. As you will see, I have barely started this
project. I have uploaded the MS Word document table to the "files"
section of this group. I welcome any additions or corrections that
you can provide. I am hoping you can download the file, add your
information, then re-post your version here for me and the other
members to review. Or you can just e-mail it directly back to me.
This project is for my personal use only. Thank you in advance for
your assistance.

Sincerely,

mistercopacetic@...
