Hello everybody!
Zhang Shen Li is travelling with a delegation from China and will be with us for
a single
weekend - February 4-5-6.
On Sunday February 5th (6 hours) Zhang Laoshi will be teaching a seminar on how
to
develop Peng. What is Peng anyway? Do other arts train it? How do I train
it? Zhang
Laoshi has extracted one core exercise each from Baguazhang, Xingyiquan and
Taijiquan
to aid you in quickly developing Peng.
The focus of the workshop is for each participant to leave with a set of tools
to develop
Peng. Make no mistake, it will be your practice that will get the results - we
do not call it
gongfu for nothing! You will have a clear idea of your goal and the method(s)
to do it.
You will also see and experience exercises from each of the "Big Three" of the
Internal
Arts.
Monday February 6th (6pm-10pm) will be Peng, Lu Ji and An of Taijiquan. How do
you
create whole body circularity? Every move must be round and accompanied by the
use of
the dantian. Movements will be shown from Yang, Chen & Zhang's own synthesis of
Taijiquan styles. Open to all styles and levels of experience.
Saturday February 4th will be Qinna and Counter Qinna. Come and learn to apply
and
counter a variety of locks. Realism will be stressed. Zhang Laoshi taught
arrest
techniques and defense against weapons at the Beijing No. 3 Policemen School and
the
Beijing Anbo Special Policemen School.
Zhang Sheng Li is the Chief Instructor of The Beijing Milun School of
Traditional Kung Fu
and teaches at the Beijing Anbo Special Policemen School.

This is a unique chance to practice with Zhang Laoshi without flying to Beijing!
Come out and have some fun!
