I am new to the group as well as new to Taijiquan. I can tell you
though that with proper training and instruction, taiji can be used
for practical self-defense. It also lays a foundation in learning
other external martial arts. It helps to know some external martial
arts in the beginning studies of taiji.

I've been studying tai-chi off and on and I wanted to know could Tai- chi be used for practial selfdefense like karate/kick boxing and other styles?...
