President SVTC
Hello, SVTC.
I have had several inquiries about race entry confirmation.
Since the entries don't go to J&A until the 28th, you cannot confirm
your slot on the J&A website.
It takes a great amount of time to check and process each race entry
(275+ so far). I have typically only sent e-mails to resolve a problem
with an entry.
However, since we are getting down to the wire here and I have had one
missing entry (mailed but never received), I will be glad to confirm
your entries via e-mail.
If you have any concerns about your entries, send me an e-mail and I
will respond as soon as I can.
Chris
It was really good to see everyone out at Lake San Antonio. We had

went I have Posted some photos in the interactiveSVTC photo page

> Scruffy's is on Murphy Street in Sunnyvale
You can reach it in the following ways:
by taking 101 South, take the Mathilda exit, head west (towards
Ocean/Santa Cruz). Cross Maude, keep driving, you will then see an
overpass less than a quater mile ahead. As you approach the
overpass, get into the far left lane. On your way down the overpass,
see traffic light, take a left here (there is a Chevy's on the
corner). You will now be heading towards a shopping mall with large
garages on your right, and an open air mall on your left. Drive past
the Mall (see Macy's)
and make a right into the large parking lot. Murphy's Street is
across from Macy's (east) Scruffy McGee's is about the third store
down on the left.
> If you are coming from 280 take the DeAnza/Sunnyvale Saratoga exit,
head East. Follow DeAnza, it will turn into Sunnyvale Saratoga,
cross El Camino. The First light AFTER El Camino, head into the far
right lane. you will see an overpass in the distance, at the traffic
light at the base of the overpass (Chevy's on the corner) take your
right turn here You will now be heading towards a shopping mall with
large garages on your right, and an open air mall on your left.
Drive past the Mall (see Macy's) and make a right into the large
parking lot. Murphy's

third store down on the left. Or just ask someone, everyone knows
where it is.

CLUB CLOTHING UPDATE
DeSoto - race clothing
The time has finally come for you to place your order!
Where to order: go to Runner's Factory in Los Gatos
- they are are located near University & N. Main
What to order: ONLY DESOTO for race clothing
- Runner's Factory has the full listing of club clothing
offerings including colors
What else to order: anything else you want from DeSoto, but we'll
only screen the selected items/colors
When to order: anytime - call them or stop by.
Deadline: if you want items screened with the SVTC Logo's, order by
March 31
- we will probably offer another screening in the middle of the
summer if demand is there
- you can screen items at anytime, but it is cheaper to do it in
bulk- this is the reason for the "bulk order"
What's my cost?:
Prior to the March 31 deadline
all SVTC members get a 25% off DeSoto list pricing
- this discount is good for the "bulk order" only:
after March 31 - , the discount is 20% off list:
- remember, this discount applies to anything in the DeSoto line
- a small charge will be added for screening (a few bucks at
most)
What's my size?: EITHER go to DeSoto's home page to figure this one
out OR
- if you don't like this idea, you'll love the following idea
- Runner's Factory will have a FULL RANGE of SIZES for you to
try on!
- yes, this includes ALL of the RACE clothing
- the samples will be at the store by next weekend
Special thanks to Christina at the Runner's Factory for all her help
and support.
Go out at get fitted and buy your race wear!
Voler - cycling clothing
The order deadline has come and past. Voler already has our bulk
order. If you missed out, sorry but you'll have to wait until next
year. The clothing will arrive mid-April. Stay tuned for a
distribution location. At that time, we'll
need your money.
Thanks,
Mike the clothing guy
Hi Everone
Just a reminder that we are meeting at a NEW LOCATION [details below]
and we will have TWO MORE WETSUITS from ORCA to raffle off so don't

Our next SVTC meeting will be Monday March 11th a 7pm at
Harry's Hofbrau at 390 Saratoga Avenue

Go in the main doors, the food ordering area will be to your right,
as you walk past that you will see the bar area to the left and a
hallway with double doors going straight back [to the right of the
bar]. The meeting room is straight ahead at the back of the hallway
Dinner will start at 6:15 with the meeting starting at 7pm
See You all there
Eric
Hi Everyone
As most of you know, we have had to change our meeting site due to
the closing of Fresh Choice. We managed to secure a meeting room
that can hold all of us at Harry's Hofbrau.
We [SVTC BOD] have not made Harry's our permanent choice [ not that
it can't be] rather we needed time to evaluate all the Bay Area
possibilities and Harry's was immediately available.
We need your help. Their are only 8 of us and 200+ of you. Please
keep your eyes and ears open for locations and send the information
to this website.
Here are the criteria a site must meet
1. The site must accommodate everyone that wants to attend [100+
people as a minimum]
2. Members must be able to hear what is going on during the meeting.
this requires a meeting room segregated from the rest of the
restaurant or facility.
3. Centrally located and freeway accessible to the membership
4. reasonable food
Thank you for helping us out
Eric Drew
SVTC BOD

As announced at the last meeting, DeSoto will be the sole vendor for
club racing
clothing. Ordering will go through Runner's Factory in Los Gatos.
We'll

consist of
red/white/blue. The logo will be the famous club triangle which is
on t-shirts,
past race wear, club socks and hats.
WHEN TO ORDER - DESOTO
It's not time to order yet. Runner's Factory is still getting set up
by DeSoto,
and we have a few details to work out together. Stay tuned for more
