Hi All...
It's that time of year when it's easy to completely
disengage from training. However, I cannot stress
enough how important off-season training is!
This is the time of year that you can choose to spend
in re-training your body to be more efficient without
the concerns of how it may affect your racing.
Track workouts at this time of year are dedicated to
re-educating our bodies how to move more effieciently,
strengthening our supporting musculature and, of
course... having some fun!
I encourage you to take advantage of the next couple
months. In past years, those who were dedicated to
Tuesday track workouts throughout the off season,
experienced great improvemtents in their running
during the following season.
These workouts are for ALL LEVELS. In fact, this is
the best time of year to begin track workouts if
you've been hesitant in the past about showing up.
All off-season workouts focus on: running skills and
drills as well as specific strength training and
stretching.
