Hi Skaters,
10 Days before we leave for the playa for Burning Man 2009!!!!!!!!!!! The Black
Rock Roller Disco will be located on Evolution (the Ring Road of CenterCamp) @
7:15. I will be arriving Sunday night, Aug. 23. I have all the wood for the
floor, lights, propane and other camp stuff. We have over 100 pairs of skates,
but we can always use more. Bring an old pair ofskates to the desert,
especially large sizes. I am doing the early arrival list today. More info at

I hope you all have had a chance to send your condolences to the family of Lee
Cole of Skates on Haight. (carol@... ) His obituary was published in the
San Francisco Chronicle. You can read it at

I feel there is so much more to be said about the man. I am putting together a
video that will capture some of that. We are talking to members of San
Francisco's Board of Supervisors about honoring him. More to come.
Are you on Facebook? I have posted some pics of me, one of which is featured in
this weeks S.F. Weekly. http://www.facebook.com/sfskater
Speaking of SF Weekly, this week there is an article about the future of public
access television in San Francisco.
I played a major part in this as I put forth a bid to take over the channel in
San Francisco.
http://www.cora.org/SAN%20FRANCISCO%20PUBLIC%20ACCESS%20PROJECT.pdf I'm glad I
didn't get it as I have other plans in skating that are beginning to really take
root and that is much more important. Check out the SF Weekly article at
