Hi Skaters,
What a fantastic day!!! Thank you to all who attended the Napa Valley Inline
Marathon. I will post the pics, newspaper articles, video and more, but first I
must return to Napa and finish my committments.
I had to rush back to San Francisco after the race where our skaters performed
the Thiller Dance on skates in honor of Michal Jackson with the little energy I
had left. I was in the process of doing the results last night and the next
thing I new I was waking up this morning.
I have posted the results as a PDF file at
http://www.cora.org/Napa2009PostRace.pdf There is a pic of the start of the
race posted at http://www.cora.org/NapaIMstart.jpg
Big thanks to Ariel McKnight for volunteering to help us develop a better way to
do the results on her birthday. We still have work to do, but we're really
getting there. And when we do, we plan to show all the race promoters that can't
afford chip timing how to do it as well.
It would very, very nice if people would send some thank you e-mails to Nancy
Stiltz at Napa County Public Works. ( NSTILTZ@... ) She works with the
people that sweep off the streets, pave the roads and has been a tremendous
help to me for a long time. The people in the Napa government have grown to be
proud of we skaters and it would be great if they could now how much we
appreciate skating there.
More later today
