Hi Skaters,
The Napa Valley Inline Marathon is Sunday, June 28. We are all set and ready to
roll. I will be in the Napa Valley next week placing signs and talking to the
local media. Pre-registration has been surprisingly hight than I expected. I
think the Napa event is now the only inline marathon left on the West Coast.

Is skating really over? Are you all now done and just want to fade away in to
AARP oblivion? It might be over for many other skaters, but it will NEVER be
over for me.
All across America people are embracing an idea. I call it "Recreational
Asphalt". This is the idea of closing streets to car traffic and having people
skate, bike, walk or otherwise come "play in the streets. We will be presenting
that concept this Sunday, June 7, 2009 with Sunday Streets San Francisco. See
how it was received in New York's Time Square at

This is a huge skating week in San Francisco as we begin tonight with Sk8Fit
YMCA. Every Tuesday night from 6:30 to 8:30 we are taking the skates and the
roller disco scene to the YMCA on Golden Gate and Leavenworth where the youth
can get fit through skating. The kids don't even realize it's a fitness
program, it's just fun!!!
On Thursday will take the roller disco scene to the Mighty for a roller disco
party. The Mighty is nightclub located at 116 Utah St. at 15th St. The Mighty
supports a lot of Burning Man camps and skaters can roll right up the bar. It
only cost #5 to get in. Skate rentals are $5.
On Saturday we will present "A Mid-Summer Night's Roller Disco Party. This will
take place at the CellSpace at 2050 Bryant in San Francisco. We have 500+
people attending these parties. That is NOT hype. Come late here and you'll be
standing behind the velvet rope for a long time. Tell the door security you're
with the Sk8GodFather and they'll let you cut the line if you're in a disco
costume.
Sk8Fit Jun 2, Mighty Roller Disco June 4, CellSpace Roller Disco June 6, Sunday
Streets June 7, Napa June 28. Not only are we doing this for skating, the only
support we get is from the those loyal, diehard skaters that come to the events,
that come to the races, that supports the efforts.
Come show your support.
Keep Rollin',
