Hi Skaters,
http://www.cora.org/2009NapaIM.htm
The Napa Valley Inline Marathon and Half Marathon is a mere 45 days away. Early
registration is suprisingly up and the list seems to be filled with names of new
skaters trying to expand their skating experience. Jonathon Kent, long time
supporter of skating, will be coming in from L.A. to take pictures at the event.
He will be riding along taking photos of the participants and present them to
everyone at the after-race picnic in Yountville.
We have kept the entry fees at the same level as last year. Early registration
ends on May 16. Skaters are in the habit of registering late. That helps pay
for the event, but you will save money by registering early. You could use that
savings to do a little more while you're here. I will extend the early
registration date to Tuesday, May 19, 2009.
There was talk about making the Napa an NROC event, which I would like to do,
but the NROC organizer was not able to communicate to me what exactly that
meant. However, I am interested in bringing back the California Championship
Series in 2010. That would probably consist of 4 or mybe 5 inline races
including the Silvro Trail in Napa, Canada Road in San Mateo, Eldorado Park in
Long Beach and the Silver trand in San Diego. Do you like that idea? Come to
Napa and let's lay the new foundation together.
The airfare is really cheap. The venue is all set. The time is right.
