Hi Skaters,
I have now fully recovered from the first Sunday Streets event and am now on the
move with the next installment on our misson to promote skating in San Francisco
through recreational asphalt. If you thought the skating at the first event was
great, the next one has some elements that will knock your wheels off!!!
The next Sunday Streets will be on Mother's Day, May 10. This time the road
closures will begin at AT&T Stadium and end at the Bayview Opera House. The
roller rink will be located at Galvez and 3rd St. This time the music will be
provided by KMEL FM 106. Morning radio host Chuy Gomez will be on hand and the
KMEL StreetTteam will be there as well. The roller rink will be one of the main
highlights of this Sunday Streets event. There will be a barbecue at the
skarting area presented by the Bayview Merchants Association placed right at the
roller rink. We will have rock star status.
The Bayview merchants and the youth of the Bayview District personally requested
C.O.R.A. to be here. We have been here before promoting skating as physical
education at Willie Brown Academy. We brouight the skates and our SkateFit
Program there and was recieved with much love by all. Check it out on YouTube
