Hi Skaters,
The California Outdoor Rollersports Association is gearing up for a major
campaign to reinvigorate the visibility of skating in the San Francisco Bay
Area. This begins Sunday, April 26, 2009. Take a look at today's San Francisco
Chronicle at
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2009/04/17/BA8G173UDI.DTL
Also the San Francisco Examiner is now the title media sponsor of the Sunday
Streets San Francisco campaign. Every Thursday before each Sunday Streets event
there will be a 4 page layout in the Examiner promoting each of the 6 events.
C.O.R.A. will be using this exposure to recruit membership and promote
everything we are doing to make skating grow.

I don't want our skate scene to be a few diehards remembering the good ol' days.
I want to build a new future for skating. I want to show the world how much fun
skating is and how wonderful the community of skaters are. I need help to make
that happen. I NEED YOUR HELP!!!
DANCE SKATERS
This Sunday will be a beautiful day. If you saw the Chronicle article, we have
a week to get that Slumdog Skate Dance rollin'. I know I'm waiting to the last
minute, but I will commit to practicing this Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday in
Golden Gate Park . If you would like to take part in that please come out and
learn the steps. It's not difficult. Since no one has ever done the Slumdog
Millionaire Dance on skates before, it will be on all the news just like the
Thriller Skate Dance was last year. Come join in and learn.
ALL OTHER SKATERS
You need to come out and be seen. The world needs to take notice that skaters
are here. Hundreds of thousands of dollars will be spent to present the Sunday
Streets campaign at absolutely no expense to you. 200,000 of those 4 page
layouts by the Examiner will be telling the world how great skating is, how
happy skaters are and how fit you can get through skating. You need to back
that up by being there on skates.
See you in Golden Gate Park and at Sunday Streets San Francisco. For more info
on the event go to http://www.cora.org/SundayStreets2009.htm
