Hi Skaters,
We are just under 2 weeks away from the begriming of our effort to skate from
San Francisco to Santa Monica in the Skate Against Violence Roadskate. I hope
you have all had a chance to read and understand the information posted at
http://www.cora.org/SFtoLA2008.htm
We now have a total of 12 skaters and 4 drivers committed to this effort. The
roadskate has now grown into an international effort to get people out skating
and stopping the violence. We have skaters representing 5 countries with
Michael Garvin from Canada, Ming Lee from Singapore, Chris Bohren of
Switzerland, Xavior Penou from France and the rest of us from USA.
Here is a list of the skaters that are planning to participate
Mike Riddle - San Francisco Ming Lee - Singapore
Michael Garvin - Canada
Tom Vick - San Francisco Jack Fong - San Francisco
Chris Bohren - Switzerland
Robert Motta Jr. - Fresno Robert Wurgaft - San Mateo
John McKnight - San Francisco
Xavior Penou - France Dennis Cummings - Walnut Creek
Robert Rodriguez - San Francisco
We are now reaching the $5,000 level in funds raised to present the Skate
Against Violence. Our goal is $8,350. Those of you in the San Francisco Bay
Area can really help us by coming to the SAV Roller Disco Party
http://www.cora.org/SAVParty2008.htm this Saturday Night at ISA High School, 655
De Haro St in San Francisco. The entrance to the skating area is located at 19th
and Wisconsin. There is a driveway there that goes down to the gym. Come on
down and let's have a great time.
If you can't make it to the party, you can show your support by making a small
donation towards the SAV Roadskate. Please go to
http://www.active.com/donate/SkateAgainstViolence Every little bit helps and
your donation will go to a great cause.
Keep Rollin',
D. Miles Jr.
