Fellow Inline Skating Instructors,
A few months ago I talked with David "D" Miles. He told me that he was
no longer doing videos for Access. Instead he was putting his videos
on You Tube.
Davvid (and all of you), please link to Sacramento Skating (
http://www.sacramentoskating.com/ )
I have been playing with this a little. I think David is right. You
Tube is a good way to video.
1. You have to register, but the service is free.
2. You Tube will automatically convert your videos to the Flash format.
3. They will load quickly for your viewers.
4. They will play smoothly for your viewers.
5. You won't have to host large video files yourself.
6. Being in Flash, they will play automatically in about 95% of the
existing browsers.
7. It takes a video to demonstrate skating on-line.
8. You Tube gets millions of clicks; people will stumble onto your
videos.
9. After you upload your videos to You Tube, you can link to them from
a central location, such as:
a. http://www.skatejourneys.com/index.php
b. http://www.inlineplanet.com/
I will be updating Sacramento Skating's links. If:
1. You have a skating website,
2. You link significantly to Sacramento Skating.
3. You let me know about this linking.
I will reciprocate your link.
Sacramento Skating is at: http://www.sacramentoskating.com/ .
Skating has been one of the best things that ever happened to me.
1. It is fun.
2. It improves my health.
3. It improves my friendships.
4. It improves my self-image.
5. It improves the world.
I want to thank those of you who have contributed to this
great sport.
!!!THANKS!!!
Bernie
