Hello Everyone:
I understand that some of you have seen the press release in the sporting
goods trade today. Please be assured that the insurance program for
existing instructors is intact. I have an announcement and link to
insurance renewal that will go out to you by the end of the week.
In case you haven't heard, a restructuring of the IISA will result in my
departure as Executive Director as of December 31, 2004. I have accepted a
position as Director of Marketing with SGMA International working with Tom
Cove and the Washington DC-based team as of January 1, 2005. I am thrilled
to continue to serve the sporting goods industry and am enthusiastic about
possibilities and new challenges.
I am incredibly thankful for eleven years with IISA and the unique
experience it provided to help build a sport, to connect with a community of
passionate people and to work with and learn from outstanding leaders and
superb companies in our industry.
I am especially thankful to each of you and the great people and friends I
made around the world through the Inline Certification Program. I have
appreciated your loyalty, patience, support, and dedication through the
years. You are an awesome group of people that made inline skating what it
is today and brought a lot of joy to people by sharing inline skating in the
process.
Best Wishes to each of you for a Happy Holiday Season and a Fruitful New
Year.
Genuinely,
Kalinda
