On August 9, 2007 River Glen Country Club will host the third annual
golf outing, dinner and auction benefiting the Dr. Lisa Thompson
Center for Family Education at Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana.
This Center is dedicated to assisting traumatic brain injury patients
and their families. An "Outing to Remember" is dedicated to the
memory of Dr. Lisa Ann Thompson, a beloved daughter, sister, mother,
wife, friend, doctor, and caregiver. Her ability to give, rather than
take, was unconditional and boundless. As a pediatrician, Dr. Lisa
was a brilliant and compassionate practitioner. In 1999, Lisa's and
her family's lives changed forever. Lisa was seriously injured in a
motor scooter accident, almost losing a leg and suffering a brain
injury. As the years passed, the severe brain injury lessened her
ability to function, and her short, extraordinary life ended.
Proceeds will go to the Dr. Lisa Thompson Center for Family
Education. Your donation will help to pass the torch of
possibilities that Lisa courageously illuminated for brain injury
patients to come out of the darkness and into the light.
If you would like to participate in the outing, go here

If you know anyone else who might be interested in playing, please
pass this information along.
I found a new golf site, which I thought was pretty cool.
http://oobgolf.com
You can keep track of your games and your personal handicap. If you
like stats, you can enter putts and fairways hit and keep track of your
Greens in Regulation, Fairway% and Putt%.
Its a free site, which also has a lot of information about golf. As it
grows, you'll be able to meet other golfers on this site.

I don't play in this league, but this is the information I got from the
club.
We currently have a Women's 18 hole golf league on Thursday mornings
beginning at 8:00 a.m. with a shotgun start. This is comprised of
roughly 24 ladies. They play throughout the summer! Sharon Hasselburg
is the president and her number is 784-5000.
Welcome to Indy Women's Golf.
I was searching the internet for a way to connect with other women's
amateur golfers in the Indianapolis area and couldn't find it. There
are plenty of places for male golfers to connect, but the women are
left in the dark.
What about Ladies' golf leagues? Most of the Men's clubs and leagues
have information posted on the golf course's web site, but very few
of the golf courses list information about the ladies leagues (some
of the exceptions are Valle Vista and Eagle Creek). The leagues I
have discovered have been through word of mouth. I thought if I
created a forum to share information about Ladies golf, it would be
easier to get this information.
The other reason I created this group is so that I could find other
golfers in my area to play with when I have a free day.
Lastly, I figured that ladies could share information or ask
questions of others about golf equipment, golf courses and more.
Enjoy!
