When the answer isn't clear, always choose "C", which, when guessing, has been statistically shown to be the correct answer more times than not. But I've also heard that 50% of statistics are incorrect. Go figure :)
Probing deeper, you see the mathematical answer could easily be first guessed as "infinity", given the "endless supplies" variable. But then, you may have overlooked the time limitation of only April 21st. Also, having just recently taken a lengthy licensing test, you might also want to consider that you should not cause harm to the campers with the JPM such as OD resulting in nausea, emesis, death and that each camper will require a unique number of JPM to obtain optimal eating pleasure.
I'm led to the conclusion that given multiple choice A-E, one answer would likely cause harm and is therefore incorrect, one answer is highly unlikely given the average amount of campers fed under similiar conditions, leaving 3 remaining answers that are all plausible b/c they would each likely provide eating pleasure to the camper, but one of these 3 answers is MORE correct than the other 2 b/c it allows for the highest amount of pleasure for the camper. That answer requires a solid foundational study of camping combined with experience, judgement, and confidence that you are correct, even if the answer is unclear.
Having said all that, the answer is 17.
And I plan to be there to see it!! Hope the rest of you make it :)
If you've read this far, you will now see that this email is entirely ridiculous with the addition of numerous completely fabricated extraneous variables to APRIL FOOL you into getting you thinking about camping so that you too will reply back to Kevin and/or the group and say that you too will be there to find out the answer to his question.
Monica
P.S. What time will this shindig be starting? And let's carpool!
This one came from the quantitative section of Saturday's test:
You have 600 vocabulary flashcards that you wasted your time making to study for this test. Each flashcard burns in roughly 12 seconds. If it takes 30 seconds to cook a Jet-Puff marshmallow, how many campers will you be able to feed on April 21 at Shades State Park?

Assorted Ultimate Players of Indy:
Summer League is not too far off. I can almost smell the
Ultimate... and whatever's cooking on the grill. Assuming similar
participation levels as last year, we will have a need for 10
captains. I would like to identify these people as soon as possible
because there is much to discuss. Some people want more control
over their team makeup. I am not necessarily against this, but not
at the cost of creating a serious inbalance of competitiveness in
the league. Therefore, I would like to get the group together
fairly soon so that we can discuss prior to the draft. If this
doesn't happen and/or an agreement cannot be reached, I'm just going
to make the call. Nobody wants that, right?
Second...we need more women playing in the Summer League. To be a
truly coed league with 10 teams, we need a bare minimum of 20 women
players. Really, 30 would be better. Indy has a fairly consistent
group of women who play in the summer league, but we need to expand.
So, encourage your sister, wife, co-workers, daughters, aunts, etc,
to come out and play this summer. Special accomodations can be made
for relative newcommers who want to play with someone they know. And
if their captains or co-workers are unkind to them, I promise that I
will personally hunt those lowlifes down and burn them with
cigarettes until they are remorseful and promise never to do it
again. And I don't even smoke.
If you are intetested in being a captain, send me an email directly
at hurstaaa@....
Thanks,
Hurst
Thanks to everybody that played indoor this year especially the brave men and woman of team Blue Thunder who made me quite proud! An even bigger thanks to Mike "The Commish" Potter and his trusty side kick Woody Woooodrowwwww McCracken! Judging from the comments I heard, the SOAS facility and the winter leauge in general was a great success. Thanks again Mike, I know you have a lot going on in your life and your work with Indy Ultimate has been appreciated greatly. The grass is greening up and the days are getting longer and the smell of outdoor pickup is in the air.
I'll see you all at Riverside Park.

Congrats to Blue Thunder for winning the Winter League title. The Fast Broadz team was glad to have been involved in such a hard fought battle for the title despite losing on a universe point after the regulation time expired.
Enjoy your reign as champs.
Higgs, if you ever tip a game winning catch to yourself again against my team I might have to try to get your Richmond/Freeman Park card revoked.
Glad to hear you are interested in playing ultimate here in Indy. You did well by joining this yahoo group, as a lot of information about pick up and other events gets posted here. You will also want to check out http://indyultimate.danconia.org for league and other information. Hopefully we will get some pickup going next week, so watch for information about that.
See you on the fields,

I just wanted to send out a thank you to everyone in Winter League who let me jump in and play the second half of the season. Especially Wyld Wuns and Black Hammer for letting me play with them almost every week, and also for letting me play two games, almost every week. It was a lot of fun and I can't wait until Summer League so I can actually be on a team the whole season. Everyone was so great and welcoming and fun to be on the field with (well, almost everyone).
Thanks everyone,
Kristi

but it is also not that hard if you start early… http://www.poultrydays.com/
Don’t let the seemingly closed
and rude email Chad sent out sway your desire to play in the tourney. It
sounds like many of the old guard are now moving to the Ball State team
leaving the rest of those interested to fend for themselves. If there
is a group forming that isn’t open to letting you play with them, you
can always look for another team. PD organizers will help you find
a team if you contact them, or you can go to the Ultimate communities online
universe at Google groups http://groups.google.com/group/rec.sport.disc/topics
and throw your name out there as a pick-up OR you can do what is a little
bit of a gamble but always a lot of fun and that is to show up the morning
of the event with a cooler full of beer and some snacks and market yourself
at the captains meeting.
So the short after the long
of it is….GO TO POULTRY DAYS….you will have a great time and meet new
friends and you will become even more hooked on our crazy sport.

I stand corrected. Apologies for
any confusion this may have caused, I must have misunderstood the bid process
somewhere along the line. Hope those of you going have fun!
That is incorrect. The Indy
Bid has been submitted. The roster is in process and was hoping a
mass email would not be sent out, as there will now be more people than
we can fit on a the roster inquiring, which is great. Unfortunately,
we 1st must confirm that the bid request is accepted and the roster is
already in process.
rumor has it that indy ultimate
does not currently have a bid for poultry days, june 9-10 in versailles,
ohio. (broads, is this right?) is there interest in this tournament? i
myself have never been, but i have heard from many people that it was one
of the best experiences of their lives, second only to their marriage and/or
the birth of their children (if applicable). past attendees, if you would
like to share any testimonials on this, please do!
so if there's enough interest (which
i hope there is because this sounds like the best thing ever!), we can
find out from broads or other poultry days veterans what to do to try to
secure a bid.
Broads team has strict orders to carb up, stay off their feet and go to bed early.
I can respect that.

Our winter league concludes tomorrow so I hadn't made a push to get pick up going yet. I was planning on starting it next Tuesday but I still need to check on the fields/etc. If anyone else wants to assist with this please let me know, and please feel free to get pick up going tonight if anyone wants to play. My indoor team has team plans tonight, so we won't make it, but everyone else should get out and play if they can!

I live in Carmel and I would all about some ultimate close to home for a change. Got class at three but let me know for next time and I will be down. 765-969-3078 or email
No hard feelings, I'm glad I understand now how the bid process works now. Thanks for the encouragement to play (this goes for the various other emails I received also). Hopefully I'll be able to join you guys in June, with or without a cooler of beer!
See you at pickup--

I would like to apologize to Laura and anyone else
excited about Poultry Days. My response to her was not handled maturely and I should have thought before overreacting (which I have been know to do before) in my response. Let's try this again...
Laura and anyone else interested in playing at Poultry Days: I really wanted to help Indy keep it's bid for PD this year, so I asked Mike Miller if Fergie and I could keep the ball rolling this year and Mike was very supportive in wanting to keep an Indy bid. Fergie and I submitted the bid and are hopefull that we will get in. As you have heard from some veterans, PD is an amazing tournament and can be a challenge to get in. It took me 3 years before I was able to play at PD for the 1st time, and that was
when I went by myself and picked up. I used the cooler of beer approach at the captains meeting! It does work....
If you are interested in playing at PD this year, drop Fergie and I an email so we can gage interest. I really do want to see Indy ultimate grow, so please understand my initial response was not thought through. More than likely, there will be more people interested in playing than we can fit on the team (if we get the bid) and I do not enjoy having to tell people no. The best approach I can think of at this time is for anyone who wants to play at PD, send Fergie and I an email. We will get back to everyone once we know if we get the bid and know how many are interested.
(Laura, you are already on the list and thank you for letting Fergie and I know. It is excellent to see more women in Indy expressing interested in playing at tournaments).
Looking forward to more good times at PD this year.
Chad
