Indy Peeps,
Just wanted to send my love before the flight to Philly. You'd think that after two years of this damn application process the bags would be packed and ready the night before I left. Nope, still picking up after Hurricane IndyMove tore its way through the second story of Roche Manor.
Best of luck to Ruckus, Sauce, [enter perverted Bloomington dudes' team name here], Nemesis, AP, Steamboat, Madcow, anyone I missed, and whichever team is playing K-G. I'm not sure how much I'll have a chance to check up on teams, but please send me news from the IndyUltimate world.
To anyone interested in what I'm doing, I'll be trying to keep this site updated as much as possible w/ happenings-on and reflections: http://guineagogy.blogspot.com. Until I arrive and am ultimately staged, I won't know what sort of access to internet I will have, but your comments, emails, and written letters! are always welcome; the address is on the left side of the guineagogy page. Hurst, I'll make it a priority to get visual proof that the Year XX disc made it to African soil.
And lastly, I wanted to say thank you to everyone for the outpouring of support and encouragement I've received these past few weeks. With the camaraderie regularly displayed at Riverside and at Eagle's Crest, it felt like I was just at one long day at league. Not until one skinny, bearded Higgs introduced me to the sport a few years back was I really able to call Indy home. So as long as the grills stay fired up, Moose's voicebox is at concert volume, the beerpong table's up in Frankie's basement, and plastic's flying on Thursday evening, I'll be happy to come back and pick up right where I left off.
Love,
Roche
