Good question... I've been trying to find out as well.
I will pass it on as soon as I find out anything...

Man, what blast today, thanks to all who put it together. Wish I'd

Sorry folks, this was just a test.
Anyhow, hi everyone. Newbe here.

John, I feel your pain.
I was Indy Region's first web master (I still have HTML files for the
site in my archives back to 1998). I then moved on to web master the
CenDiv site and how I'm helping with the Great Lakes Division site.
Back in the day when we launched the Indy Region site, the shults dot
com offer was hard for a region to pass up. At that time, web hosts
were getting more per month than what the Shults' were charging per year.
These days, inexpensive web hosts are all over the place. The Great
Lakes Division site is hosted by a web host in Michigan (with servers
in Texas) named Total Choice Hosting. We have 40 gig of space and 1.2
gig/month bandwidth for $55/year.
For another organization's site, I'm leaning towards Eager Host which
is based right here in Greenwood. Their middle package is 20 gig with
200 gig/month bandwidth for $84/year.
Both of these are Unix Apache hosts with MySQL, PHP, Perl, FrontPage, etc.
Might be time for a change.
Bob...
Yup.. Still reloading... I know.. Way too slow, but it is such a sweet
deal we have so I'm not complaining.
www.shults.com for more info
..and I am still loading stuff in the background to speed up the process.
Thanks,
jww

Our area is becoming known for it's photogenic vehicles (but definitely not
photogenic drivers) - Scott might be the third local competitor who has been
featured in the Tire Rack advertisement in the past year. The other two were
Larry Harts' MINI and Velma & Raleigh Boreen's CSP Miata if I remember
correctly.
Thankfully, no over-decaled ITA/DSP Nissans were included on the list.

No new updates from our web hosting folks on the restore process, but I am
finding a ton of stuff still missing and reloading as I go to get the
process done faster.
Last update I got was from them was 10am yesterday and they were still in
the process of reloading. Let me know if there is something missing you need
right away so I can move it up in the queue.
The fun just never stops..

..thanks Jim. It's been fun, but sometimes it is is a pain. Like now!! :)
We still have a few holes and I have fixed a few more of the obvious things.
I am still waiting on the word that the restore process is complete and I
can then start looking for any remaining issues.
Seeya!

Another update.. Seems the site is back up, but I found it missing quite a
few elements.
So not sure if they are just still in the process of restoring or not. I
have uploaded quite a bit of what I could find missing, but not sure offhand
what is still gone. I will start spotchecking tonight as I am "hoping" their
backups were not really that bad or I have a ton of stuff to attempt to
reload.
More later!!

Whenever they get it restored, I will have to then check how current the
site is as there might have been changes since their last backup.

Now I know for sure when my season will end. Today
Indy region SCCA had it's invitational event this Sunday.I've missed a lot of
events this year so was anxious to get some time in on my little E Modified
Corvair . I just recently installed a Roots type positive displacement
supercharger from a 3800 Buick--similular to the type in Mini Coopers- in this
very tired 8 season old 3100 engine. We got 10 runs; how many events is that?
The temp was 55 and partly sunny, not bad for Nov. in Indiana.
This time of year on cold slippery surfaces you just expect FTD from SM 4 wheel
drivers.
Jeff Alexander, with help from virtually everyone, put on a great course with
something for everyone: Miniture road race "Curves" , slaloms, chicanes and
"thread the needles".Surely every one got something they liked.
I especially liked the bigger turns with room to experiment with different
apexes. I didn't need first gear anywhere; not even on the start. The entire
range of a tall 2nd gear was used. This reminded my of the old days with the
"Velocirapter" formula car.
The other Corvair entered was my son Michael in his barely SM Stinger. I love
to watch his "yeahaw" style fo driving. he not only had a "Babe" passenger
(Wanda Brinkerhoff) but she drove the Stinger also.
I couldn't get a Babe passenger--they said no way after watching me run--what
does that mean?
Scott Dales in his very Street Mod Mini Cooper blew away the field in the first
heat on his only clean run out of ten--that's all that counts. We figured that
he had it for the day, so large was the gap.
Modern performace car are every bit as fast as the best home built--just a
fact now.
WE keep having large fields of modified cars, three or 4 Lotus 7 replicas is a
normal occurance around here.
The fastest Lotus today was Lee Miller in his 4.3 Chevy in a Locust 7.
Lee and I just barely beat the FTD Mini. The resullts weren't ready to see
whether Lee or I won FTD. It doesn't really matter, I just love the close
competition.
I was plateaued so let one of the Lotus drivers(Steve) take one of my runs
and my son Micheal take the last one. He usually beats me and pushes me upward.
He made it half way around with the engine stopped.
some of the intake pressure hoses blew off; I'm suspecting because the valves
were closed due to a broken cam gear .,remember-positive displacement blower.
I've had the parts prepared for some time to rebuild this old engine so am not
too disappointed.
It ran so good that it might place mid pack in a CP field. Yeahaw!
Warren
