Maybe try and get some type of document from the BMV or even an officer stating
the license is valid?
I agree, someone could show with a suspended license, but I believe the intended
burden from a liability standpoint is that the registrar at the event is
presented with a document that shows the holder has a valid license. If that
person is lying or has forged the document, we (SCCA) have no control over that.
We are simply fulfilling the requirements per our rules and insurance.

Here is the flaw in the rules though. Say Person X brings an ID card
with DLN on it, and it is valid, no suspensions. Squeaky clean
record. Now person Y comes in with a Drivers License Card and it is
suspended. Neither way are you going to know the status, unless it
is electronically ran. This is a higher up rule that needs to be
somehow changed or altered, because, there is no way for a police
officer to know if you are valid driver by their DLN unless it is ran
electronically either way. Valid on a State Issue ID or Invalid on a
State Issue License will only show up during an electronic check.

Well, i guess we will just have to either hope for the best, or be
ready to sprint to find a police officer...hopefully we won't have to
resort to donuts or burnout to find one...just kidding guys.
