Baka you trip and landed on the side of your feet or you are overpronated (check
your the sole of your rubber shoes kung ang pagkanipis ay sobrang hindi pantay
on both side).  If na trip ka lang, put ice on the affected area until 3 days
(don't put warm oil or water yet).  After the inflamation subsided, you can put
warm oil or warm water and then massage it. Mga 2 weeks yang.

Kung overpronated yan, you need to buy a shoe for overpronated.

Hello,

I'm a newbie runner, just started in April and have joined 4 marathons -
Marikina, Power Mile, Autoreview and IE8. Yesterday, I joined 4 mile and injured
my left foot and now it's swollen - I think sprain on both sides - ankle. It was
aggravated because I guess I overdid "brisk walking" on the treadmill last
Saturday in preparation for IE8.

How long does it take to recover? What should I do so I can go back to running
again?

This news is saddening specially that the incident isn't an isolated case.  I've been hearing about robberies during races since last year pa, and I don't know why not a single soul was caught even until now.

Kahit walang race meron robbery. Nakuha din sa friend ko ang laptop bag nya, with laptop (na may important files!) and ids while parked sa Boni High Street. 
 
Park your cars near guard if possible. Dapat hindi visible ung mga important things from the outside. Ilagay nyo sa floor, not sa seat. May space pa minsan under ng seat dba. Kasya dun ang wallet & small gadgets. Lagyan nyo ng tint ung windows. Double check if locked ang doors. Wag din paranoid. Kasi the more you think about robberies or other bad things, the more you will attract it.

yes, mahirap mag rely sa mga parking guards because they cover a big area to secure. If they are in the other side, robbery will takes place in the other side. Robbers study and monitor the movements of the guards. Everyone must be security and safety conscious. Security and Safety is everybodys concern. In races like this, we only bring the drivers license and small amount of cash.

I also do that Mark. I only bring license, medical card and some cash that I bring with me together with car key. And I try to park near the guards.

I think it is a runner or a runners friend. They keep tabs on the races and usuallly strike where there is no guard. I always tgry to park near a guard. I have also started wearing a belt bag. i keep all my licenses and important ID's in the belt bag and take it along with me.

Marie, that is a problem since last year pa. I think the culprit has access to the running events. Almost all running events had an incidence of car theft including Clark. I believe that a friend of one of the runners is doing that. While the runner park his car, his thief friends stays in the parking area .They start their operation while the race is ongoing.

Marie, that is a problem since last year pa. I think the culprit has access to the running events. Almost all running events had an incidence of car theft including Clark. I believe that a friend of one of the runners is doing that. While the runner park his car, his thief friends stays in the parking area .They start their operation while the race is ongoing.

Yes! Similar bad lucks have been happening almost every running activity and almost everytime, security forces have the same alibi, they were not informed of any such activity/ies.
 
Hopefully di sana mga kapwa runners ang gumagawa nito.
 
At any rate, let it be a lesson to every organizer to see to it that additional measures be established not relying heavily to assigned security force within the local area. Better, if we could trap these unscrupuluos culprits.  I suspect, they are either using a trycyle or bicycle to easily get-away from the scene.
 
What puzzled us is that, it seems that these robbers are well-informed, knowing what, where and how each running event is being conducted. As reported in various similar incidence not only in Manila but outside / provincial activities.
 
PCRC, for example, has been a victim of these "Pasok Kotse" in PICC, in Roxas Blvd, in Baguio and in Los Banos. We knew several other groups having the same bad lucks.
 
We need everyone's cooperation.

By the way, 5th place pala si Joms sa Auto run last sunday. Kaya lang sa sobra tipid, wala pala siyang race number (nakalimutan magregister) .
So wala siyang cash prize and medal. So the moral lesson of the story, kung palagay mong mananalo ka, magregister ka . hehehehehe. Peace Joms!!!

Ang ganda pala ng patakbo ngayon, daming water, daming marshall at sa 200, may singlet ka na, tshirt ka pa (top 300) at may bag of goodies ka pa.

Our car got robbed and  our valuables, including ids and cards, license and camera, cellphone of noel and my daughters plus her license too.  Police said no coordination to them by the organizers. The guards at mckinley also are no use pangtraffic lang. I feel so bad right now.  
 
Hopefully nobody else will be so unlucky like us.

Seriously pagtutunan ko ng pansin ang Triathlon next year.
Kaya patuloy ang pagsasanay ko ng Bike at higit sa lahat Swim (paglangoy).
Umpisahan ko muna sumali sa mga event na Mini Sprint at Sprint later
Half Ironman siguro Ironman na pero a lot of preparation (one year preparation for HI and I )
para magkaron ng medal.
