Just a quick note to congratulate everyone that pass last weekend at
the BMAA Black Belt Grading and a special congratulations to the 4
members from our North Anston club that graded to 1st Dan (now your
training can really begin). I will add some more details to our
website some time this week.

Sorry to those of you that loved the class but it has come to an end,
I would have found a new venue for the class but that would require
me to run it like a normal lesson in order to cover the rent. So
this would sort of defeat the point of the class as it was to be my
training time with a handful of experienced students.

Sorry but we are unable to use our usual venue the Sunday so they
will be no training for the women's group this week (this is more of
a reminder as everyone should already know). Trev will still be
having his Fight Class at Daisho so you are welcome to gate crash
this lesson.

Sorry for the delay in response but I've been away for the weekend,
thanks for the little bit of info on your style.

Ok it is late (early) as I read this and respond to it. So bear with
me. This system is actually called Shorin Kwoon Do Ryu Shorin ryu.
The system is based on Shobayashi-Ryu and Chubu-Ryu systems of Shorin-
Ryu. Shobayashi-Ryu ( being the main influence). The Founder of this
system is Musashi Miyagi who's teachers include::Chokki Motobu,
Chotoku Kyan, Zenryu Shimabukuro, Choshin Cabana and most notably his
uncle Chojun Miyagi.

I heard last night that "Imptec" will be holding a competition with a
£1000.00 cash prize?
Some of my students and myself tried the new version out last night
at the BMAA, this updated version records reaction time, power and
accuracy. The fastest and hardest strike will win the cash prise at
SENI 04.
In the trails been run at the BMAA everyone's weight is also been
recorded along with the strike results so Imptec can gain a bigger
picture of what it takes to generate a powerful strike.

For those of you that train at the women's group please remember we
will not be having a class on Sunday 28th March 04.
Sorry for the inconvenience
Bex
Firstly there will be no training on Bank Holiday Monday 12th April
04, there are also 2 Bank Holiday Mondays in May that we will not be
training on (3rd & 31st May 04).
We are not going to be able to use the Infant School for training for
a couple of weeks in April so we will be holding some of the classes
at Middleton Institute on Barleycroft Lane in Dinnington.
Thursday 15th April 04 & Thursday 23rd April 04
There will be no training on Monday 19th April 04 but training will
be back to normal as of the 26th April 04.
Just a quick hello to the new members that have joined recently,
please feel free to add your martial arts links to the groups "Links"
page etc.
Anyway thanks for joining and we look forward to hearing about what
styles you train in.

I will be starting the class a little earlier this Sunday for some
personal training but if anyone else that attends the fight class
wants to make an early start just let me know (class will still be
finishing at the usual time).

This class is totally dedicated to sparring and we will even cover
some of the tournament style sparring during these classes.
The next one will be on Sunday the 22nd February from 1:30pm – about
3pm and every other week following that (that's a class every two
weeks). The real focus behind this class is a chance for me to train
without having to teach so it's not open to beginners or children
(sorry but this is my training time).
Students that have trained twice or more during the previous week
will only have £1.50 to pay and everyone else will be charged the
regular £2.50.
I've added the class to the club calendar so everyone can check for
the next class and I will update the website soon.

Sorry for yet another training time alteration but in order to make
things more convenient for the Middleton Institute we will be
starting the women's group at 12:30pm starting from this coming
Sunday (15th Feb).
Bex
I am an instructor of the Korean-based martial art Choi Kwang-Do. I
would like to contact people in West Africa, particularly Ghana, who
are interested in learning Choi Kwang-Do. My hope is to travel to
Ghana this summer, and begin the training there. Please contact me at
jak@..., if you are interested or have any suggestions.
Thank you.
Just a quick reminder for those of you training this coming Saturday,
everyone attending needs to be ready to leave at 10:30am and
hopefully we will arrive before 11am.

As the women's only class has continued to steadily grow over the
past months Daisho Dojo has become too small for our training needs
so as of this Sunday (25th January 04) we will be holding our classes
at the Middleton Institute on Barleycroft Lane in Dinnington from
12:45pm to 2:15pm
Bex
Firstly we have a venue change on Thursday 12th Feb 04, we will be
located in the Junior School Hall this night only as the Infant
School will be having teacher parent interviews on this night.
We will also be starting a Fight Class on a Sunday at Daisho Dojo in
February, dates and time will be confirmed shortly. Students that
train twice at our regular classes in the week will only be charged
£1.50 for the Fight Class, other students will be charged £2.50.
