[Impact Martial Arts Dojo] Re: New file uploaded "Over Coming FearIn Self-Defense"
Hi Rick,
Knowing the Police procedure for the predicament you've ended up in
can help a lot. You also need to have a good idea of how to re-
account the events so you remain the victim. Basically you have to
play on being the victim a little because your attackers have rights
also (far too many in my opinion).
Think about it from the Police Officers point of view? For example
you have a person that's had a skin full and is bragging about how
they have just kick the snot out of 3 would be attackers. This
person is going to be spending the rest of the night in Police
custody so they can question them better when they have sober up.
But don't forget all that boasting will be written down and compared
with the new account of events the following morning.
My advice is don't give a detailed blow for blow account because it
just makes you sound like a predator and not a victim of an
unsolicited attack. Don't tell the officer what techniques you used
just say you hit them with a punch or something (it all happened so
fast).
Let the Police Officer know about every scrape, scratch and bruise
you received at the hands of your attackers including damage to your
clothing (or any possessions that may have got damaged). Don't play
macho, remember you're the victim.
Keep kicking Trev
