There are lots of other training exercisers we teach that help
improve individual techniques but nothing I would say is unique. The
only difference is that I spend a little more time trying to remove
wasted movement than the majority of instructors (not highly
original).
A quick example is the way they use focus mitts in boxing, they don't
just hold the mitt up to be hit. The focus mitts are held with the
striking surface against the body before being held out for the
strike and then returning the focus mitt afterwards (ready for the
next strike).
The idea is that you know were the opening is going to be but time,
distance and angle are not, just like when you are waiting for that
opening in a real fight.
