Thanks.
I am thinking of building a mini-rod using a 350 Chevy motor and
trans. I don't have a clue on what rear-end to use or what gear to
run, or for that matter, what size tire to run. Info on this would
be greatly appreciated and so would links to parts supplies. Thanks.

There are several ways of going about building a starter cart, but
probably the most popular is to use a 6 volt starter motor off of a
mid 50's Ford truck. These starters have an "inboard" bearing
instead of one located on the nose of the starter drive. This allows
the mounting of a v-belt pulley without modifying the starter motor.
They will stand a 12V battery as long as you don't run them for
extended periods of time without allowing them to cool off.
At some pulls I have noticed some pullers using a 12 volt electric
motor and a V-belt to start their tractors in the 1050# class instead
of the regular starter. What kind of motor are they using and where
can I find one?
I would like to congradulate Jeff Sapp on his win at the Brown County
Fair. And i would also like to the Schnikter Pulling for the great
competition they gave jeff up untill the pull off.

Just joined today. You have a very nice site. Am from Kentucky and
we are in our 2002 pulling season already. We were rained out for
several pulls but we're going good now. Have posted a few pictures
of some of our pulls in the photo section. Thank you
Our sympathy goes out to ITPA President Mike Miller on the passing of
his father recently. Please keep Mike and his family in your
thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
This site has a lot of great cards. I was able to get approved in 30
seconds for two different cards. Check it out for yourself.

According to our local newspaper, the tornado hit the town of
Dongola, which is close to Anna. ITPA member Bradley Corzine is from
Dongola, but I have not heard anything more. Wayne Co. was also hit
last week, with damage and injuries in Fairfield. ITPA members Larry
Greenwalt and Bob and Ladeana Davis are from that area, and reports
are that all is well with them.
I just saw on T.V. this noon where a tornado hit Union County Ill..
1 person was killed. I was just wondering how close it was to Anna.
We know a few people from that area because our class is there. Were
there anymore injured? Does anyone know?
