Seriously, it sounds like a great idea. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I don't see anything about an All-Star Game in the Constitution.
So if there are no objections, I am gonna try and put one together.
This years game, the 1st Annual ILB All-Star will be held July 11th at Turner Field and hosted by the Atlanta Braves. The manager for the NL will be Jude Plante of the St Louis Cardinals. The manager for the AL will be Jeff Forman of the Boston Red Sox. (dates according to dmb game)
Voting:
On the website there is a link titled "Online forms"
There is an NL and an AL form. Please only vote for your league. You can vote once per week. When the results file comes out, that closes that week of voting.
I will keep a tally of all votes on the website. After week 11, I will cut down the choices to 5. All players will keep vote totals through that point. After week 12, I will cut to 4 choices, and after week 13 I will cut to 3 choices. During week 14, the last day for voting will be July 9th so that I can get the game setup for Monday.
Voting will choose 1 starter at each position (8), SP (3), RP (2), and CL (2).
Each manager will then finish off their rosters.
Remember each team can vote once a week, so make sure and click whichever team you are at the top of the ballot
Thanks again,
Roy
ATL
P.S. I must have way too much time on my hands
Also, I might have an All-Star game for all players under lets say 24 and call it a "Future's Game". I might also play a homerun derby on MLB 2005 and post the results for an ILB Derby

In an all out drubbing, the Chisox come to Anaheim and sweep the series. Highlights:
Game 1: Chicago 3-2 (14) W: Hoffman L: Donnelly Sv: Torres HR: Larry Walker
The Chisox score in the 4th and Anaheim scores in the 5th. That's all until Walker's 2-run HR in the 14th. Anheim gets its 2nd run in the 14th (remember
that 2 run barrier). Rowand was 3-7 and Figgins led Anheim going 5-7 (but 0 runs). Anaheim 14 - 13 in hits. Anaheim 14-13 LOB. Wind blowing out to
right at 13 MPH.
Game 2: Chicago 3-2 (13) W: Betancourt L: Gregg Sv: Takatsu HR: Thome, Thomas
Glavine and Buehrle battle it out over 7 innings. Thome's 2-run HR in the 4th held up until the 9th. Meadows goes 1.2 innings of perfect relief. Percival is
brought in to face the pinch hitter Frank Thomas who promptly HRs to tie the game. It stayed that way until the 13th when Walker scored on a Bottalico
error.Werth was 4-6. No one on Chicago had more than 1 hit. Anaheim 11 - 9 in hits. Anaheim 12-9 LOB. Wind blowing right to left 3 MPH.
Game 3: Chicago 4-2 W: Hudson L: Eatons Sv: Hoffman HR: none
Anaheim scores 2 in the 2nd......and yes ends up w/2 runs for the game. The Chisox get 3 in the 7th for the win. 5 BBs hurts Eaton. Rowand was 3-5.
Anaheim 10 - 7 in hits. Tied 8-8 in LOB. Wind blowing out to center at 18 MPH.
Game 4: Chicago 5-2 (YEA 2 STINKIN' RUNS AGAIN!!) W: Lidle L: Lackey Sv: Takatsu HR: Bonds, Ersatd
Anaheim scores 1 in the 1st and 5th. THe Chisox score all 5 in the 2nd. Rowand is 2-5. Lidle pitches 7 innings and 4 hits. Anaheim walks 9. Chisox in
hits 6-4. Chisox win in LOB 9-7. Wind blowing out to center at 16 MPH.
Game 5: Chicago 8-3 W: Garland L: Lieber Sv: none HR: Konerko
The White Sox finish the pasting pounding out 14 hits. 10 off Lieber. John Lieber - who walked 18 batters all year in baseball - has walked 17 through June
including 4 in this game. Garland walks 6 w/0 K's for the win. Rowand was 4-5. Chicago won in hits 14 - 6. Anaheim polished off a tough series w/11 LOB
to Chicago's 7. Wind blowing out to center at 13 MPH.
Series stats:
Anaheim batted .222 in the series going 44-198. Of our 44 hits, we had 2 2Bs and 2 HRs for a SPC of .263. We did walk 21 times which makes the 11 runs we scored in the 5 games tough to swallow. The White Sox batted .239 in the series going 47-197. However, they did have 9 2Bs, 3 3Bs and 4 HRs to go along with 28 BBs. Key performers:
Rowand 13-27, .481 avg
Izturis 7-20, .350 avg
Even Bonds (2-18, .111 avg) and Rolen (2-19, .105 avg) struggled in this goofy series. Chicago's team ERA for the series was 1.83. Only Torres and Garland had ERAs over 3.00. Talk about the dead ball era!!!
Mariners take the series 3-2. Carl Crawford
leads the way for Seattle
with 3 Hr’s and 8 rbi and Orlando Hudson did most the damage for the
Orioles as he batted .444 for the series. These games had to be played in a
hurry due to vacation time. The Independence
league is almost one year old as it was formed last year at this time hence the
name Independence Baseball League, ironic is the fact the league is run by a
Brit….

Here's the MP for the Orioles week 9 series against at the Mariners. Hope to be able to play the games H2H. Maybe Thursday or Friday evening after 7 east coast time?
The starting rotation should be:
Ishii (1-6, 6.54)
Carpenter (3-4, 5.64)
Silva (0-5, 4.65)
Schoeneweis (0-1, 5.40)
Towers (1-2, 3.19)
The O's are hoping to reverse the trend of close game losses. They're 4-22 in their last 26 games, but have lost 9 1-run games, 3 2-run games and 4 3-run games. Only 7 of their last 26 have been decided by more than 3 runs (1-6 record in those games). Didn't take time to survey other teams' records in close games, but it seems like I have a high percentage of close game loses. If anyone else wants to research their records, I'd be interested in hearing about it.

The White Sox sweep the Rangers in a five game
series... The first four games were played H2H.
Jake Westbrook was throwing a GEM in game 1 when the rains hit The Cell in the 7th inning. He and Roger Clemens had to leave after a 71 minute rain delay.
AT that point, Westbrook had a no-hitter working. He was on cruise control.
The Rangers quickly scored 3 runs off the Sox pen. It looked like the Rangers had a win until Todd Walker hit a 3 run homer with 2 outs and 2 strikes in the 9th
to tie the game. Sox win in extras.
Some individual highlights.
Jake Westbrook (Rangers) 6.1IP 0 hits, 0 runs Roger Clemens (White Sox) 7IP 2 hits, 0 runs Tim Hudson (White Sox) 7.2IP 6 Hits, 0 runs
